Worlds 2021: The Stage is Set As All 22 Teams Have Qualified

by in League of Legends | Sep, 7th 2021

The final two 2021 Worlds teams have locked in their spots which means the stage has finally been set! Well, sort of: we still don’t know where exactly Worlds will take place and whether there will be any unforeseen twists leading up to it. There’s a ton of uncertainty in the air, and it’s commendable to see Riot approach this gargantuan challenge (i.e. organising Worlds amidst a pandemic — again) with so much fervor and dedication.

And, well, they’ve found a lot more success than one would expect given the circumstances.

We just hope that Riot will be able to pull things off without a hitch — we’re all itching for a bit of top-tier competitive League, and having a spectacular Worlds Championship will definitely make it easier for us to take our minds off of the pandemic.

So, without any further ado, here are all the teams that have qualified for 2021 Worlds!

2021 Worlds | Qualified Teams

The qualifying teams are as follows:

LPL — Edward Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, Royal Never Give Up, LNG Esports (Play-Ins)

LCK — DWG KIA, Gen.G Esports, T1, Hanwha Life Esports (Play-Ins)

LEC — MAD Lions, Fnatic, Rogue (Play-Ins)

LCS — 100 Thieves, Team Liquid, Cloud9 (Play-Ins)

PCS — PSG Talong, Beyond Gaming (Play-Ins)

LLA — Infinity

TCL — Galatasaray Esports

LCL — Unicorns of Love

LJL — DetonatioN FocusMe

CBLOL — RED Canids

LCO — Peace

All in all, we have quite an exciting, eclectic mix! The LPL and LCK will, obviously, come into the tournament with a slew of hungry, motivated challengers — most of which are astoundingly talented and have all the right tools to leave a mark on the biggest of stages.

We’re not expecting the status quo to change much (if at all), but that doesn’t mean 2021 Worlds will lack in entertainment — far from it! Most of these teams will no doubt fight their hearts out, so expect an absolute spectacle once October comes around!
