World Series of Warzone Series Captains Have Been Revealed
We’ve got some awesome captains coming for the World Series of Warzone. Five new non-CDL captains were chosen for the Twitch-exclusive event. It normally would likely also be on Youtube, but there is a Twitch Rivals partnership to contend with. That won’t change that June 23rd, 2021 is going to feature some incredible Warzone gameplay! It’s also got the biggest Warzone prize yet, at 1.2 million dollars. While that’s great, what we really want to know is who will lead these teams. Luckily, that information has now been revealed!
Captains for the $300,000 World Series of Warzone Tournament
This all came to light during Summer Game Fest, where Johanna Faries (CDL Commissioner and CoD’s General Manager) revealed the Twitch Rivals partnership. Don’t worry though, the Call of Duty League will still be available on Youtube. Just this WSOW content will be exclusively on Twitch. The first event, the June 23rd, 300,000 dollar World Series of Warzone has five incredible Captains coming to bat:
- Swagg
- TheDanDangler
- Nadeshot
- TimTheTatMan
- Aydan
I am going to leave it at this. I’m the 2nd most watched female WZ player in NA. I’m grateful to be involved in WSOW and so happy @CallofDuty gave me this opportunity. This is how people grow. Thank you to those who support my growth and me being a captain. ???? #goodvibesonly

It’s not the first teams that were announced, but these are the latest to be revealed. The excitement’s going to be real, that’s for sure. The teams will be picked during a Snake Draft, that will be held live on June 22nd, 2021. There will be 10 total trios who will compete, aiming to put their captains’ team on top with the most points. This promises to be a major event for Call of Duty and Warzone just in general.
Perhaps the most interesting pick was TheDanDangler, who made a very clear statement about her participation:
“I am going to leave it at this. I’m the 2nd most watched female WZ player in NA. I’m grateful to be involved in WSOW and so happy @CallofDuty gave me this opportunity. This is how people grow. Thank you to those who support my growth and me being a captain. #GoodVibesOnly”
It’s awesome to see some inclusion in the World Series of Warzone, that’s for sure. We’re very curious to see if there are any wild, interesting picks made by the captains and if they’re already keeping their eyes out for what their ideal squad would be. We’ll just have to keep our eyes open and see who comes out on top later this month!
