Dead Silence is a nightmare in Warzone, and it’s finally getting a nerf. Well, that’s not exactly true. Dead Silence is a Field Upgrade that has no counters, no downsides, and is just ultra-powerful. So many people have called for a nerf to it. However, in the Season 4 Reloaded patch notes, we get some great news. Dead Silence isn’t going to be infuriatingly powerful anymore! Well, it will, unless you pick up High Alert. High Alert is going to save your bacon if you’re paying attention. What’s going on here?

Sure, it’s neat that there will be Warzone-exclusive perks, but more important than that right now is a stop to Dead Silence being so powerful. Whether it’s a casual player, a super-popular streamer like Dr Disrespect has all been talking about Dead Silence. However, you can pick up High Alert to fix those players’ proverbial wagons. Why?

According to the Season 4 Reloaded Patch Notes:

“We are excited to share that we are planning the debut of two new Warzone-specific Perks. Alongside them, High Alert will also be receiving an update that allows players to hear Dead Silent footsteps.”

That’s right, High alert will now hear Dead Silent footsteps! Sure, you have to be paying attention to them, but that’s a step in the right direction; so to speak. While unfortunately, you still have to get a certain upgrade to counteract Dead Silence, it’s something. We’d love to see an actual nerf to the ability, but time will tell if this will be enough.
