Tricked Esports Sold, OG Finalizes Roster, More – CSGO Recap 11/21/2019
Welcome back to another exciting day of CSGO news! Today we’ve got a look at the news of Tricked getting sold to an unknown team, backlash in the community over the new character models, and OG finalizing their CSGO team’s roster.
As always, we’ve got a lot to cover today, so let’s dive on in.
Tricked Esports Sold to Who?
In what is being called the biggest transfer in Danish CSGO history, Tricked Esports announced today that they had sold their CSGO roster to a currently unknown org. This move marks the end of a rather powerful A and B-Tier line-up in the European scene for the org.
Discussing the reason for the transfer of the squad, Tricked noted that,
“While we have enjoyed seeing this roster take root, achieve their goals and climb the international ladders of success, our club revolves around creating new talent and fostering teams for them to reach their full potential.
Our business model is not designed around having the single best team in the world within our ranks. Our ambition is to open our doors and generate new opportunities to young people, moving existing teams in the right direction as well as helping them reach their goals – individually and as a team. The roster, led by HUNDEN, has moved faster than any other team we have ever worked with. Their outstanding work ethic and dedication has been a critical factor towards reaching their goals in less than ten months. All our matrixes and models have been overrun by this roster, and it was tough to keep track of the team’s true potential.”
While the new owner of the team is currently unknown, many in the community have pointed towards Dignitas as a possible option, as the org’s CEO announced just after the Major that they were looking to build a high caliber squad for the scene.
The move seems unlikely given the team is unproven in top-flight events, but it could be a possibility if Dig found potential in them to make a big splash.
Another possible option for their new home could be European org Team Secret, who just today released a teaser on Twitter with what appears to be the code that displays when planting the bomb in-game.

The latter seems more likely an option. Nothing officially revealed yet.
We’ll keep you all updated as we learn more about the squad’s new home.
Character Models Backlash
Moving over to the general CSGO community, a loud rumble of complaints have begun to emerge following the release of Operation Shattered Web.
Many have expressed frustration with the new character models introduced for sale in-game. The models are difficult to see on some maps and have distinct advantages over others in certain situations in which you may not notice them fast enough to react in-time.
Given the next tournament will be held on the same patch as the models, ECS has taken the step of already going ahead and banning them from use in their tournament, with other TOs sure to follow suit shortly.
It doesn’t bode well for Valve’s newest attempt to monetize the game, though changes to make them blend less could help alleviate concerns. The developer has yet to comment on the issues currently.
OG Finalizes Roster
Our last stop of the day takes us back over to Europe, where Dota2 org OG is set to finalize their roster, according to NeL.
The team’s starting line-up will now feature NBK, Aleksib, Valde, ISSAA, and Mantuu after issues with Jamppi’s past led the org not to pursue him for the squad.
There is some concern over Mantu’s role on AttaX limiting his usefulness, as the man was just a secondary AWPer for the squad, but the power behind the rest of the team should see them punch well into the top 10 if all goes well.
That’s all we have for today, thanks for reading. We’ll be back soon to bring you more exciting CSGO news, so stay tuned!
