TL Alphari and C9 Blaber Are the 2021 LCS Spring Split MVP Frontrunners

Team Liquid’s Barney “Alphari” Morris and Cloud9’s Robert “Blaber” Huang are the two frontunners to win the highly-coveted 2021 LCS Spring Split MVP award! This should come as no surprise as these two individuals stood out in all the right ways and were the most important catalysts on their respective teams throughout the last couple of months.
Heck, they were so good it didn’t even make sense! So much better and seemingly more capable than the vast majority of their peers. To say that they ran circles around their opposition wouldn’t even begin to cut it. And, frankly, one could argue that Alphari deserves even more praise than he’s been getting.
To land in Los Angeles and start dominating straight away (and in such emphatic fashion, no less) is nothing short of remarkable. No matter how talented, most individuals need a bit of time to ramp up and adapt to their surroundings. Alphari, however, is no such individual. Even if he doesn’t end up winning, he has already left an indelible mark in the LCS, and it took him mere months to do so.
Quite incredible, to say the least.
A Potential Two-Time MVP
Cloud9’s sensational jungler, on the other hand, already has an MVP award in his (somewhat populated) trophy case. He was awarded this prestigious trophy exactly a year ago and won his first LCS title. Interestingly enough, he’ll have yet another shot at making history on Sunday.
If things pan out “as expected,” he’ll once again face off against Team Liquid. That’d be quite a tall order for anyone else, but seeing just how easily Cloud9 outclassed the four-time LCS champions a couple of days ago, they’re probably not too worried. Still, if Liquid beat Team SoloMid, we should be in for one heck of a rematch — a series that should, by all means, go the five-game distance!
