Tfue’s Fortnite Squad Has Public Meltdown

Turner “Tfue” Tenney and his teammates are the subjects of some drama in the Fortnite competitive scene. In week four of the Fortnite Champions Series: Chapter 2 (FNCS), Tfue and his squad placed 11th out of a ton of players is no shameful thing – until you realize that there’s no cash for them.

That’s right, only the top-10 win a cash prize, and The Finals are coming up very soon. Fortunately, Tfue and his squad have already qualified in Week 1. But, this is undoubtedly a pretty serious roadblock for the team. They’ll have to get over the ongoing drama to secure the bag in December.

What Happened?

Tfue, Cloakzy, Khanada and Liquid Fiber were in the finals, but poor decision making led to the team to drop before making top-10. After going through Fiber’s replay, Tfue saw what led to their ultimate demise in the tournament. Fiber and Khanada fought one another instead of working together.

Of course, this led to some bickering on social media. Sadly, Liquid Fiber’s post was deleted, but it read “khanada has to be the most immature kid I ever played with.” Though the tweet was deleted, once you put it out onto the internet, someone is going to see it. Nothing is ever truly gone forever.

Khanada left his tweet up. He went the alternate route of Vague Tweeting. “Im so f***ing tilted, holy s**t” (sorry, we must censor that kind of language). Twenty minutes later, this beef was supposedly squashed, as presented in a tweet from Liquid Fiber.

It’s Not The End for Tfue & his FNCS Squad

We can assume by Liquid’s tweet that the beef is thoroughly squashed. But, I’m not so sure about that. No disrespect to Tfue and his team, of course. I have nothing but respect for the work they do in Fortnite. If there’s anything you don’t want in a competitive game, it’s for your opponents to think teammates are toxic.

No matter how good your team is, other squads of equal caliber are going to capitalize on that. I can only hope they learned not to jump into a situation where the opposing squad has an advantage. That’s a good way not to make it to top of any tournament.

The Fortnite Champion Series Finals take place December 6-8, so at least they are already qualified and ready to go. It’s time for some team-building exercises and to hug it out.

It isn’t the first bit of drama in the Fortnite community and is far from the last. Other teams in the past have shown that it’s okay to make this kind of in-fighting public. So many kids are deep into the Fortnite scene.

With so many impressionable young people playing and watching, we must be better about what we represent to them. If kids think it’s okay to be a jerk in public because a player did it, they’ll pick up on it. Just some food for thought.
