TEPPEN is without a doubt, the most unique of the mobile card games. It’s a real-time strategy card game, and it features the coolest characters in the Capcom universe of games. The ultimate card battler has broken four million downloads, just in time for Christmas. Teppen is celebrating with an awesome December update.

In addition, GungHo Online Entertainment announced the location of the TEPPEN World Championship, coming on December 21. The best of the best in TEPPEN will be doing battle at the Tokyo International Forum on December 21. The World Championship will be free for all to enter. Anyone who does attend will also be eligible to receive exclusive Secret Cards.

Free Stuff is Best Stuff

I need to make sure my download of TEPPEN is updated. This update comes with a new selection pack, Hero skins and most important of all, a brand-new mode. But let’s talk about free stuff first in the Teppen December Update.

From December 2nd through the 24th, players who log in will receive free Pack Tickets. This will go on for the first four days of logging on between that time frame. Day one gives a “CORE” card pack, and days two and three give the “DAY OF NIGHTMARES” and then “The Devils Awaken” card packs. Day four is the best one, though.

Day four gives a special new “WC2019 Selection Pack” ticket. This pack comes with some of the best and most powerful cards from the upcoming TEPPEN World Championship. Looking for something truly fantastic to round out your decks, or looking for a new way to play? That pack might give you the inspiration you need.

EX Grand Prix Mode

EX Grand Prix is a new mode that builds upon the original Grand Prix, with some cool innovations. Unlike the regular Grand Prix, where you have multiple rounds to deal with, EX Grand Prix changes the game. EX Grand Prix has special rules that differ every time the mode opens.

It’s up to the player to see how many wins they can get in that limited time frame. Accumulating certain amounts of wins will give pack tickets for the newest set, a special card that changes on a monthly basis, or perhaps other things. That special card requires you to win the whole way through an EX Grand Prix. But you can only get it once.

Your first entry each EX Grand Prix will be free, but beyond that, it costs 240 Zenny or an EX Grand Prix Ticket x1. These can be picked up from Mission Rewards, so simply playing can give you these. That’s a bonus for sure. This mode sounds exciting and starting in the December update, you can try it in Teppen. First try is free, right?

I love modes like this. In a way, it’s a puzzle. You have a specific set of rules to follow, and now you must make the best of it. It might be “only use cards from this set” or something a bit more complicated. I’m always down to puzzle solve in my card games, and this is a new, fun way to be rewarded for it.

I want to go back to those WC2019 packs real quick before we go. Those will be available to purchase for a limited time as well. These also have a chance to drop new skins for Rathalos, Chun-Li, Morrigan Aensland and Albert Wesker.

What decks are going to take the top spot during Teppen Worlds? My gut says Wesker, Nergigante, or Dante. Rock that Devil Trigger. Personally, I still run my Ryu deck. I’m holding out hope for a “Dan Hibiki” deck, but that’s just me.
