Teamfight Tactics Reckoning Championship Coming to China in October

Teamfight Tactics is hitting it big! For the first time, those who qualify for the Reckoning Championship will get to compete in person at a live event later this year in China! This, in short, is stellar news — doubly so if you’re a hardcore fan of Riot’s phenomenal auto battler!
Moreover, it seems that Riot plans on expanding and empowering their incredible portfolio of games in every which way they can. They’re pushing all of their titles into the esports realm with more focus and dedication than ever before. Wild Rift and Legends of Runeterra are both getting World Championships by the end of 2021, and it seems that TFT will also be shifting towards in-person, “large-scale” events sooner rather than later.
Riot is well aware of the immense potential present within their most popular titles. They’re taking big steps towards empowering them in all the many ways they can — including numerous tournaments of varying importance.

The upcoming Reckoning Championship (scheduled for October) will take competitive TFT to another level. Given Riot’s “aggressive expansion,” we’re inclined to trust the process — they’ve yet to fail and have earned our benefit of the doubt. Still, we don’t have a whole lot of information to work with, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out the nitty-gritty details. All in all, there’s quite a big reason for TFT fans to get excited about it. The fifth set, Reckoning, has been shipped to live servers mere days ago, the game is still as entertaining as ever, and Riot even plans on turning it into a bona fide esport as well. It’s quite a stellar time to be a TFT player!
As for seeding, tournament structure, prize pool, and everything else about the Reckoning Championship, Riot said they’ll release more information over the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned!
