Welcome back everyone to our daily recap of CS:GO news. Today we’ve got a look at Stewie and Steel’s reactions to TenZ’s comments about his benching from Cloud9, a slew of upsets in the pro scene, and Aristocracy is looking to find a new home following the departure of their sponsor.

As always, we’ve got a lot to cover today, so let’s dive on in.

Steel and Stewie Call out TenZ

After the announcement Monday that TenZ would be benched from Cloud9’s roster, the young rifler took to his stream explaining what had happened, citing differences in opinion of how to play the game amongst other issues.

In a response on Twitter to his remarks, former C9 player and current Liquid star Stewie2k came out in disagreement over TenZ’s claims, calling them “contradictory.”

Former Ghost Gaming pro Steel also spoke out on what TenZ said, calling out TenZ for not conforming to IGL Daps’ style and remarking,

While some members of the community were upset by his removal from the starting line-up, the consensus appears to be that TenZ being benched was the right decision for the team. Many have questioned if Subroza is the answer to the team’s problems.

Upsets in the Pro Scene

Elsewhere in the competitive scene, we got a lot of upsets this week during Starladder Season 8’s LAN Finals as multiple high-level teams were taken down by weaker opposition and forced into the lower bracket of the event.

Na’Vi was eliminated by Heroic earlier this morning, while Fnatic fell to the lower bracket after a shocking 2-0 loss to Renegades Monday afternoon.

G2 had their way with AVANGAR, forcing the team into the lower bracket where, as of the time of this writing, the team is 1-1 against FURIA, while EG is currently 0-1 against Heroic in their match down there after getting surprisingly knocked down to the lower bracket by a surging NiP.

Heroic has been putting on a crazy performance so far, and if they can finish off EG they’ll have pulled off what is perhaps of the tournament.

Aristocracy Looking for a New Home

While we’ve been getting exciting matches from Starladder, things in Poland appear to be a mess for team Aristocracy. They are once again without a team as sponsor Codewise Unicorns have backed out of the org.

The team has been on a downhill slope since leaving Kinguin, with their time as devils.one not working out, and now this. Hopefully, they find a new one soon, otherwise, Taz and the crew are going to be paying without play once again.

That’s all we have for today, thanks for reading. We’ll be back tomorrow with more CS:GO news, so stay tuned!
