After a long and arduous journey, Splyce has won the 2019 SMITE World Championship! Splyce and RivaL had an intense SMITE Finals after both teams obliterated their competition in the semifinals. Splyce 3-0’d Dignitas and RivaL 3-0’d Trifecta.

No one can deny the absolute dominance these two teams have displayed throughout the 2019 SMITE World Championship. Neither faced a single loss in the quarters or semis. Both teams came in nearly unstoppable, but they still had to face the ultimate challenge – each other!

RivaL came out swinging in their first game against Splyce with a devastating 26-8 kill win. By the end of Game 1, the gloves were officially off. Splyce didn’t let that defeat get to them. They refocused and buckled in for Game 2.

That refocus was exactly what Splyce needed. In Game 2 they were barely able to edge RivaL to claim victory! RivaL’s devastating momentum was broken. The finals were tied up, and it was anyone’s game!

Game 3 was an impressive display by Splyce. They were in the driver’s seat. The momentum was on their side. Splyce had solid control over RivaL in Game 3 and succeeded in adding another win to their score.

One more game and Splyce would claim victory as the 2019 SMITE World Championship. As the game started, that’s exactly what appeared would happen as Splyce had a strong showing from the starting gate.

RivaL was not about to lay down and go home. They quickly changed the tide of battle. Splyce tried to stall, but they were 20,000 gold behind! There was no stopping RivaL’s constant pressure, and Splyce was defeated in Game 4. At 2-2, it was time for the ultimate tie-breaker. Only one team would come out victorious.

The final match had arrived. Splyce and RivaL were ravenous for that last win. RivaL had managed to regain some of their dominating momentum in Game 4. It was all down to this game. Anyone could win.

Splyce took a page from RivaL’s book and came out extremely aggressive in Game 5. They kept constant pressure on RivaL, making sure the enemy didn’t get a chance to catch their breath and regroup. It was a constant bombardment that RivaL simply could not counter. After a hard-fought 29 minutes, Splyce finally overwhelmed and claimed victory!
