Scump Dominates the World Series of Warzone Solo Yolo Tournament to Win $100,000

by in Call of Duty | Nov, 18th 2021

Scump is one of the greatest Call of Duty pro players of all time, which is not an understatement, but maybe it is about time that he moves away from the team-based competition to stand on his own if the recent Scump World Series of Warzone win is anything to go off of.

Scump World Series of Warzone Victory Happened

The very impressive Scump World Series of Warzone win came this week with the ongoing series by Activision. The esports series is the main staple for the battle royale game’s competitive scene. Since it lacks the Call of Duty League in its own way, this is what it currently has at this time.

The World Series of Warzone is meant to show off the very best battle royale Call of Duty players in the entire world, from a team point of view, for the most part. There are a few competitions and they are mainly geared towards the teams of battle royale players who are the best around.

However, one of the main events of the series is the World Series of Warzone Solo Yolo match. This is exactly what it sounds like: a solo match that includes the very best that there is in the world when it comes to Call of Duty Warzone solo players.

They have no teammates backing them up, giving callouts, bringing them back into the match, and sharing items. This is solely about the single person’s ability to use their pure skill to win against 149 other players who are also vying for a slice of the pie.

How the Solo Yolo Match Worked

The 150 players in the World Series of Warzone Solo Yolo match were competing for a single goal in the match: to be the last person standing and to get the match win. There was only a single match that was offered for this special part of the event and that was it.

There were no teams, no multiple matches, and no points that teams were trying to gain by getting eliminations and the like. It was the battle royale competition in its purest form, with only one winner out of the 150 professional Warzone players and content creators, and that was it.

Furthermore, only a single person would walk out of this match with prize money in their hands. There was $100,000 on the line and only one of them would get it. It did not matter if you came in second place, losing to a single person in the end; that person would not get any money.

And in the end, the Scump World Series of Warzone Solo Yolo match victory was the result. It should come as no surprise really that former Call of Duty world champion and current OpTic Texas pro player, Scump, was the winner of the entire match. As seen in the tweet from the main OpTic Gaming account, we can see the clip of the champ in action.

Scump Also Had the Most Kills in the Match

The Scump World Series of Warzone Solo Yolo win meant surviving in a gauntlet against 149 of the best players around. This included the final fight as seen in the clip, which was the OpTic King facing off against Aydan, one of the most popular and talented content creators around.

Though it looked a bit suspiciously close for a moment there as Aydan had what looked to be the combat shield and a nice position to fight back, Scump’s decisive first shots against the streamer allowed him to clutch the victory and nail the $100,000 prize money all on his own.

The clip is nothing but pure joy, whether or not you are a fan of Scump, as you can just see him jump in elation and run around his room, screaming with excitement at the unforgettable victory moment. However, if there is any room for doubt that he absolutely earned that victory, there is none.

After all, he topped the group in the end, not just for being the last player standing at the end of the match, but having the most eliminations as well with 11 in total. He more than earned that victory in the battle royale match, taking down 11 of the best in the world to stand on top of the aftermath in the end.

Scump Also Has an Exciting 2022 CDL Season to Look Forward to

If for some odd reason there is any doubt that he is one of the greatest Call of Duty players of all time, there really should be none now. Better yet, it shows that he still has it in him after all these years and is not about to lose to the up-and-coming younger players who are in the Warzone scene.

The craziest part is the fact that Warzone is not the game that he is playing day in and day out as part of the intense training necessary for the Call of Duty League. That was Black Ops Cold War previously and is now Vanguard, though the latter is, admittedly, built on the same engine and with many of the same gameplay systems.

That said, the Scump World Series of Warzone win should not mean that he is going to be jumping ship anytime soon to that game full-time. After all, he has a pretty bright future still ahead of him in his career with one of the most exciting seasons of his time in the esports scene with the upcoming Vanguard 2022 CDL season.

As part of the freshly announced OpTic Texas team, two former rookie world champs are joined by fellow champ Scump and the also impressive Dashy to make one of the most talented Call of Duty teams of all-time. Fans of OpTic and Envy will be able to see this merged team in action sometime early next year with the launch of the 2022 Call of Duty League season.
