Ruined King and Hextech Mayhem Released, Riot Announces Two New Titles

by in General | Nov, 18th 2021

The one-hour-long Riot Forge showcase was a sight for sore eyes, especially for those who are partial to the Runeterran universe and its dazzling cast of diverse characters! There were two big takeaways, and they’re hugely important so we’ll cut straight to the chase: Ruined King: A League of Legends Story (an RPG developed by Airship Syndicate) has just been released ($29.99) for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG), PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch! The same goes for Riot’s surprise rhythm runner Hextech Mayhem. That one will set you back for $9.99 and is currently available to play on PC and Nintendo Switch.

There’s More Where That Came From

The second takeaway — and this one was to be expected — is that more games set in the LoL universe are coming our way! We already knew about CONV/RGENCE, but the second one, a single-player narrative-driven game called Song of Nunu — pretty much came out of nowhere!

“Venture into the idyllic but treacherous world of the Freljord as Nunu in this single-player adventure. Unearth the secrets, myths, and legends buried deep in the frozen tundra alongside your best friend, a wise and playful yeti named Willump and unfold an inspiring story one puzzle at a time,” as per the official description.

This one’s obviously catered more towards a younger demographic, but you’ll still be able to enjoy its wholesome story even if you’re old enough to sport facial hair. The game was developed by Tequila Works and will release sometime in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch.

Last but certainly not least, a new game set in Demacia is currently in the works and will be unveiled at a later date. What it’s about and which characters it’ll focus on still remains to be seen as Riot wasn’t willing to provide us with any additional information; in the meantime, make sure to give Ruined King a try as it looks like a good time!
