Ropz’s Military Service, Neymar Highlights, More – CSGO Recap 11/06/2019
Welcome back to another exciting day of CSGO news! Today we’ve got a look at Ropz’s upcoming military service in Estonia, highlights from Neymar’s recent games on Instagram, and roster change news from around the globe.
As always, we’ve got a lot to cover today, so let’s dive on in.
Ropz’ed into the Military
Our first stop of the day takes us over to Europe, where Mousesports is facing a bit of a problem with one of its players, Ropz.
The 19-year-old rifler is just under two months out from turning 20 in December. As an Estonian, he will be legally required to serve in the military for eight to 11 months, bringing his career to a grinding halt.
Similar situations have happened in other games in the past. For instance, Korean players in League of Legends have had to retire when they are forced into service. Or, in the case of European player Forg1ven, whose service in Greece has significantly stalled his career.
This doesn’t mean all is doom and gloom for Ropz, however, as he could pay the 3,600 euro annual fine until he’s 28 or retires from competitive play to avoid service, though he has yet to make a public decision on the matter.
With his birthday coming up so soon, we’ll likely hear his choice over the coming weeks.
Neymar CSGO Highlights
Moving over to Brazil, famed footballer Neymar was the talk of the CSGO community this weekend after posting a highlight clutch, he captured in-game to Instagram, garnering over 128,000,000 views.
Neymar has long been a fan of CSGO and has close ties to MIBR, so the highlights don’t come as a big surprise, but the massive positive reaction to it shows the growing acceptance of gaming in by the general public.
Roster Changes
Back over to the pro scene, we got some significant changes going on with Zeus’ Ukrainian org Pro100, as the team has officially announced the signing of former Na’Vi coach Kane to lead the Academy squad.
The move is a bit of a downgrade from coaching the prestigious Na’Vi squad but allows Kane to grow a new generation of Ukrainian talent back in his home country.
Meanwhile, in Sweden, once-shuttered org GODSENT announced they had signed a new CSGO lineup following their return in September and will be revealing who exactly is on that squad later this month.
That hasn’t stopped leaks and rumors from popping up about whose on it, however, as NeL has hinted that Smash Esports’ roster will be the squad joining GODSENT, though neither the team or the players have confirmed the move at this time.
Wow, Devilwalk looks great in that shirt. I'm sure your next team will smash everyone. ? https://t.co/OrHIw1s9i1

INTZ also made some moves this week after losing KnG shortly after the Berlin Major, replacing DeStiNy with former Luminosity player Boltz.
The move looks good on paper for the squad, though we’ll have to so how things go for them at the next Minor coming up.
Lastly, while not a roster move, we got some information on a new round of fundraising for French org Team Vitality, who DBLTAP announced has raised another $15.5 million in funding, bringing their total funds raised to a whopping $37.7 million in total.
The move is just the latest in the continued growth the org has seen since picking up an LEC franchise spot in League of Legends and seeing their CSGO roster come online with the pick-up of Zywoo.
That’s all we have for today, thanks for reading. We’ll be back tomorrow to bring you more exciting CSGO news, so stay tuned!
