Netflix is at it again, with a new show coming to the streaming service. This time, it’s the anticipated Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Spanning four episodes, ranging from 20-30 minutes, the series is part of the 25th anniversary of the survival horror franchise. Fans have a lot to look forward to as the series will be more action-packed than the previous two Resident Evil games going back to the series roots.

The show takes place two years after Resident Evil 4 and features Leon Kennedy, voiced by the actor who did Leon’s lines in Resident Evil 2. Leon is on a mission to the white house with a new group of friends when zombies overtake the White House. After sending the present to the bunker to wait out the zombie apocalypse, Leon and his new crew work their way through the White House to put an end to the infection. However, Leon isn’t the only person who fans will recognize. Claire Redfield is also involved, hoping to expose a conspiracy that will show the world exactly what the Umbrella Corp. is up to.

With the show’s first season only lasting four episodes, it’s going to be a quick watch for fans of the series if they intend on sitting through the whole show in one go. With the runtime topping out at just under two hours, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is more of a movie rather than a show.

However, fans won’t have to wait long for more Resident Evil content coming from the streaming service. Netflix aims to put out a live-action Resident Evil show, which tells the story of two twins who are the children of series antagonist Albert Wesker, as the series is going to take place in both the past and the future. Another Resident Evil film will be released as well, which is a retelling of the events in raccoon city. Players will see live-action versions of their favorite characters from the original trilogy of Resident Evil.

Netflix released a taste of the show on YouTube in a two-minute clip, showcasing Leon and the others taking the president to the bunker in the first episode.

For those looking for more gaming-related content on Netflix, more shows and films are coming to the platform, with the release date of the second season of The Witcher announced, as well as The Cuphead Show. More is coming from Netflix is coming and Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway is coming to the platform and a new Masters of the Universe series.

It seems like Netflix has its hands full for the upcoming year, and Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is just the beginning.
