A former support player for Renegades and the first female and transgender player in the LCS, the 24-year-old was famed for her Thresh play. She helped Renegades qualify for the 2016 LCS Spring Split.

Remilia was always outspoken on her life and struggles around her gender realignment, including a surgery promised by former Renegades owner Chris Badawi that was botched in Thailand prior to that split. She was an inspiration to female and transgender players across the industry looking to go pro.
Folks from across the industry have come out to pay their respects for Remilia and all that she stood for. She’ll never be forgotten for the impact she had on us all.
Thank you for the outpouring of support and love. Seeing so many people from across the world speak so highly of Maria has helped me, her grieving family and her boyfriend. She touched many lives, more than I think she realised. Nothing can diminish that.
