Outriders PC Requirements Announced

by in Outriders | Mar, 31st 2021

It’s no secret that Outriders has a lot of people excited, and now — mere hours from its official release — Square Enix and People Can Fly have released the minimum and recommended hardware requirements for those looking to play the game on PC.

So, what kind of set-up will you need to game comfortably? Let’s first go over the bare minimum.

Outriders | Minimum PC Requirements

The following list of components will allow you to play Outriders at 720p in 60 FPS. This is quite literally the bare minimum. If you’re someone who’s looking to game on seven or eight-year-old gaming PCs, then read carefully. The game will run, but it won’t be a satisfying experience.

CPU: Intel i5-3470 or AMD FX-8350

RAM: 8 GB

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 750 Ti or AMD Radeon R9 270x

Storage: ±70 GB

Outriders | Recommended PC Requirements

You’ll need the following hardware for smooth 60 FPS gameplay at 1080p. This, in many ways, is how the game should be experienced.

CPU: Intel i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600x

RAM: 16 GB

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 8 GB

Storage: ±70 GB

It’s fair to assume that something like a Ryzen 5 1600 and 8GB of RAM will also do the trick alongside a GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580, but you’ll probably have to tinker a bit with the settings to reach the 60 FPS mark. Still, these are very fair and reasonable hardware requirements and are in line with what most folks have.

Outriders | Ultra PC Requirements

If you want to experience Outriders in its full glory — by which we mean up to 4K and 60 FPS — then you’ll need a pretty beastly gaming PC. The following hardware is required if you want to max everything out and play at 4K.

CPU: Intel i7-10700k or Ryzen 7 3700x

RAM: 16 GB

GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT

Last-gen graphics cards like the RX 5600 XT or RTX 2060 will almost surely suffice for 1440p, along with an equally solid four- or six-core processor from either Intel or Ryzen. Very few people are actually gaming on 4K displays, but this is still a good way to orient yourself based on the hardware you own or might purchase further down the line once this whole crypto mining craze blows over!

In any case, you can already pre-purchase the game on Steam, but if you happen to own an Xbox console, then you’ll be able to play Outriders for free — given that you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber. And, on the off chance you’re not, what are you waiting for? It’s truly the best deal in gaming right now and is worth every penny!
