Patch 10.6 is shaping up to be a big one, at least when it comes to new League of Legends skins. With new cosmetic items for Lux, Malphite, Mordekaiser, Xerath, Talon, Taric, and Twitch, there’s something for everyone regardless of role and allegiance.

Riot Games recently announced their plans to release 120 skins throughout 2020, and this is a solid way to start things off. We have a new skin for Malphite, Mordekaiser, Xerath, and Talon, which is certainly a surprise. There are even two Lux skins, just in case you don’t like any of her existing ones.

A Look at Each New Skin

Let’s dive a bit deeper into each skin:

Cosmic Lux — Yet another Legendary Lux skin. Fortunately, it’s an absolute banger starting from the splash art all the way to the in-game model and VFX. 1820 RP is nothing to scoff at, but at least it’s as good of a skin as you can get in-game.

Dark Cosmic Lux — In case you’re looking for a darker approach of the same skin. Seeing Lux as a more menacing mage is definitely a refreshing look.

Dark Star Malphite — Malphite fans rejoice! The towering stone giant is finally getting a spectacular new skin. The in-game model isn’t as mind-blowing as the splash art above. But, at least, the VFX looks amazing — arguably the most important thing when you start flash engaging.

Dark Star Xerath — Yet another entry in the Dark Star skin line. Hopefully, Xerath will once again become a meta pick because this skin definitely deserves to be seen.

Dark Star Mordekaiser — Everyone’s favorite Iron Revenant is getting a fantastic new skin. This competitive mainstay is the perfect choice for the Dark Star get-up, especially after the highly successful rework.

Talon Blackwood, Taric Luminshield, Twitch Shadowfoot — Next up, we have three amazing 1350 RP skins for the most unlikely trio: an out-of-meta ADC, a niche pocket pick support and a roaming assassin that isn’t played much these days. Still, all three champions have passionate fans and players and are more than deserving of a new outfit.

Finally, most of the skins listed above will ship with accompanying chromas. Mordekaiser and Xerath will have six variants, Taric, Talon, and Twitch will have eight, with Dark Star Thresh, Jarvan IV, Varus, and Orianna getting a single chroma (post-release).

All of the new League of Legends skins listed above are available for testing on the PBE and will be shipped in two weeks to live servers!
