N0tail’s OG to Enter 2022 With a Completely Revamped Roster

OG, one of the most successful and revered organizations in all of competitive Dota 2, will look a whole lot different come 2022 with a new roster. This should really come as no surprise seeing how its entire lineup — the one comprised of the biggest of names and the most seasoned of veterans — “blew up” right after TI10.
Fortunately, it happened for wholly justified reasons. Everything has to run its course eventually, and even though we’re sad beyond measure to see these legends retire/take a sabbatical, at least they were able to etch their names in history and entertain millions upon millions of gamers throughout their spectacular (and most lucrative) run.
In other words: they have nothing left to prove.
“It has been a lot of time and sacrifices invested from a lot of OG members these past few years, and they need to rest. Thank you, all of you who keep supporting us throughout the years. A new OG era is coming, we can’t wait to introduce them to you,” as per the official announcement.
A Totally New OG
Going forward, Mikhail “Misha” Agatov will be leading the team alongside Tommy “Taiga” Le, formerly of Team Liquid. Misha was actually coaching OG throughout the regional qualifiers and TI10 and has received immense praise from the entire team, including CEO Juan M.R. Luna.
“He is a very nice person and he has a very good heart. He cares about people around him and he cares so much about the game. This is a winning recipe. He is smart, talented, and willing to learn. What else can you ask? I can safely say that without him we would have not qualified for TI10. He came in, helped us clear all the confusion, helped us get much smarter about a lot of things. Misha has all it takes and I believe in him,” said Sébastien “Ceb” Debs.
In addition, Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf, Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov, and Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev have all gotten the nod and will round out the 2022 OG roster. We’re talking about three extremely young players who’ve yet to prove their worth and compete at the highest of levels. Still, they’ve reportedly shown immense promise and could, in due time, make waves.
If you’re interested in learning more about these individuals — and the overall selection process — head over to OG’s official website. In any case, fans should temper their expectations and give this brand new lineup time to grow and develop. With legends like Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and Ceb helping out, there’s no doubt they’ll eventually make OG devotees proud!
