MTG Arena Free Mythic Rare Cards Available for the Next Week
Wizards of the Coast has announced that you can get three MTG Arena free Mythic rare cards right now! The digital version of the beloved card game is offering some extremely rare cards to all players at zero cost, which is a deal that you shouldn’t miss out on.
This free code will only work until next week, July 2, so be sure to claim your cards sooner rather than later!
Each player will receive their MTG arena free Mythic rares from either the Guilds of Ravnica, Ravnica at War, or War of the Spark sets at random.
Free Card Code and How to Enter It
All you need to do to get your free Mythic rare cards is enter a promo code in-game. That code is “MYTHICMAGIC” and you must enter it exactly as you see it there. The codes in MTG Arena are case-sensitive, which means that you need to be sure to type it like we did.
The entire code needs to be in all capital letters and all one word. To enter the code, what you need to do is head to the store tab on the main screen of the video game. While you are in the store tab of the game, you should see the promo code section.
Simply enter the code MYTHICMAGIC there and you will be automatically given the three Mythic rares. The cards are randomized, but you shouldn’t receive any duplicates.
For more free MTG Arena promo codes you can check here for the new codes made available during the Chronicles event or here for a full list of all available codes.
Mythic rare cards make an excellent addition to almost any deck, but of course not every card fits every playstyle. Our personal preference would be the Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God Planeswalker card but that might not be useful to your particular deck collection.
What You Need to Know about Nicol Bolas

We’ve got the lowdown for you on three of the excellent MTG Arena free mythic rares you can obtain. Starting with the Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God Planeswalker card, this is a very popular card that is used in a lot of various colored decks. It’s actually really surprising that this card is offered for free.
That’s because the Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God card just came out recently as part of the most recent expansion War of the Spark. Couple that with its popularity in the competitive scene and it is rather gracious of Wizards of the Coast to make it possible to get it for free.
To begin with, Nicol Bolas has the impressive ability of being able to use the loyalty abilities of all other Planeswalkers on the battlefield. In addition to that, he also has his own loyalty abilities as you would expect.
The first one is a plus one loyalty ability that has you draw a card while your opponent has to exile a card from their hand or one of the permanent cards that they control. The second ability that Nicol Bolas has costs three loyalty and can destroy a target creature or Planeswalker.
The third and final ability for Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God is his ultimate ability. This unbelievable ultimate ability costs eight loyalty and automatically makes your opponent lose the match if they don’t happen to have a legendary creature or planeswalker on the field.
How Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice Works

If Nicol Bolas isn’t your style, though, here are two other cards that you might get your hands on! For example, the Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice card. This legendary angel creature card is for hybrid red and white color decks and hails from the Guilds of Ravnica expansion.
It is a two/five legendary angel creature card with flying. Its first ability is Mentor. This ability allows Aurelia to put a plus one/plus one counter on the target attacking creature with lesser power. That’s not all, though, as Aurelia has another ability that can swing the tides in your favor.
At the beginning of every turn, Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice will allow you to choose one target creature that is on your side of the field. Until the end of the turn, the target creature will get plus two to attack and the trample ability if it’s a red color card or vigilance if it’s white.
How Hydroid Krasis Works

Last but certainly not least, let’s take a look at the complicated Hydroid Krasis card. This card allows you choose how many land cards you’ll use to summon it, which in turn, affects the abilities that it has. When you first summon it, you will gain half of however many lands you use as life and also draw cards equal to half of that number as well.
In those cases, you round down if it’s not an even number. This legendary creature card has both flying and trample, making it pretty impressive. Last but certainly not least, it is initially a zero/zero card but it gains plus one/plus one counters for however many lands you used to summon it.
All in all, all three cards are phenomenal and are well worth getting so be sure to use your code up soon. After all, this code won’t be available for too much longer. It is in celebration of the Magic: The Gathering Core Set 2020 that releases early in July.
Since the new expansion releases next week, this free code will only last until then. You have until July 2 when the new core set drops for the video game to redeem the code so act fast so you don’t miss out on one of these amazing free Mythic rare cards from the game.
