Magic: The Gathering Arena Patch 0.14.01 Breakdown
The MTG Arena Patch 0.14.01 Notes are available now. This is the very first update to release after the launch of the latest expansion War of the Spark. As such, it contains some pretty important changes, but not nearly as many as we expected.
It’s a little on the lighter side in terms of bug fixes and gameplay updates, but that doesn’t mean it’s a small update. This latest MTG: Arena update is more on the average side. The store and bundle updates, in particular, more than make up for everything else.
There are a lot of new bundles and cosmetic items that players can purchase now. In addition, there are some older bundles that are now removed, so we hope you didn’t miss out on them. Without further ado, let’s take a look at what’s new and different with the MTG Arena Patch 0.14.01 Notes.
Store Update
The biggest change by far in this update is to the store. There are a ton of new bundles included with it plus the removal of some old ones. To start, a new card style table is available for purchase. At the same time, the Guildgate Bundle is no longer available for purchase.
It’s not all bad, though, since its card styles will be available for purchase in the future. In addition, there are plenty of new bundles to take its place. There are five new Draft Bundles and each of them contains three War of the Spark card styles to boot.
Each of the five Draft Bundles costs 4000 gold. There is a Gatewatch Triumph bundle available, too, that brings some card styles for the Triumph versions of Jace, Liliana, and a few more. It costs 1000 gems to purchase.
Last but certainly not least, there is a Bolas Bundle available for 4000 gems. It comes with five different card styles, a Bolas avatar, and an exquisite card sleeve. There are also a ton of new card styles available for purchase for numerous Planeswalkers.
Here are a couple of codes for free packs in case you haven’t claimed them yet:
PlayRavnica*
PlayAllegiance*
*Both codes are case-sensitive
Bug Fixes
If spending coins and cash on cosmetic items isn’t your thing, then, thankfully, there are some key changes to gameplay as well as bug fixes available in the MTG Arena Patch 0.14.01 Notes.
In terms of gameplay, the Triumph Cycle now plays voice lines correctly when it’s supposed to. There are also some adjustments made to the bot in draft picks.
There are plenty of bug fixes that fix minor stuff like correcting hitboxes for certain cards, properly showing ability badges, and fixes for cards that would get visually stuck on the battlefield.
However, the most important change is with God-Eternal Kefnet. Cards that are revealed by God-Eternal Kefnet will now remain revealed in the owner’s hand, as they should have been to start with. This is a very important fix since it ensures that players aren’t at an unfair disadvantage due to a bug.
