League of Legends Lillia Champion Splash Art Leaked
New information about the upcoming League of Legends champion Lillia is starting to pop-up online, including her splash art! The level of artisanship is tremendous, and it’s a reminder that the Riot Games art department has truly spoiled us. Lilia’s looks are in tune with what Riot has been teasing so far. Watching this enchanting jungler in action will undoubtedly be a lot of fun, especially if she has a distinct ability kit to match her visuals.
By the looks of it, Lillia is a centaur-like creature with a pretty long staff as her weapon. We already know she’ll have an ability similar to Zoe’s “Sleepy Trouble Bubble” and it’s fair to assume that the “magical” plant hanging from her staff used to send out most of her spells and/or basic attacks.
One can only hope that Riot has a couple of surprises in store when it comes to her abilities as we’ve already seen most of these tropes before.
Same Old, Same Old
Not everyone’s in love with Lillia’s overall aesthetic, and it’s easy to see why. Players have long been criticizing Riot for their lack of champion design diversity, and Lillia certainly fits the “Riot female champion” cliché. She looks like Neeko and is also a 1:1 rip-off of Dota’s Enchantress. Granted, Lilia and Neeko are supposedly from the same region, which does explain the resemblance, but it’s still somewhat of a letdown. This lack of variety (both visual and gameplay-wise) is a problem, although it’s not something people should lose sleep over.
Overall, there’s still a lot that we don’t know about Lillia, but if this recent slew of leaks is any indication, we’re bound to find out more in a matter of days, if not hours.
