Knockout City Shows Off Roadmap for Season 2 and Beyond

by in General | Jun, 30th 2021

To say Knockout City is going strong would be an understatement, as the game has been steadily growing in popularity as it continues on throughout the game’s first season, introducing the Multi-Ball into the mix, and bringing players the Map, Jukebox Junction, known in-game as the Train Station that separates Knockout City from the rest of the world. Players found themselves duking it out on the tracks and getting knocked out by not only other players but the trains themselves if they weren’t careful. However, this content isn’t the only thing being added to the game, as players will be finding themselves working their way through a new map with a new special ball in hand soon, according to the KO City discord. Posted Yesterday on the Discord was the image of a Roadmap for Knockout City that revealed Season 2, and with the picture of the roadmap, was another entry in the developer blog known as the “Knockout City Chronicle” This Dev Blog Post points out changes and more announcements that players can look forward to while they hit the mean streets of Knockout City and bring themselves up from shame to fame. Here’s what to Expect from Velan Studios in the Future

Heatwave is Almost Over

KO City’s Heatwave event is nearly complete, and players who are wanting to cash in and pick up some nice cosmetics should bring their tickets and holobux to the shop to ensure that they’re getting the most out of the vent before it ends! The Heatwave taking over Knockout City is going to end on July 5th, so players have little less than a week to get what they need to do out of the way before cooling off and getting back to some brawling!

The Roadmap

The Roadmap for KO City was also posted onto the chronicle and the Discord, which showcased a lot of information for players to check out regarding the future of the game, for one, players can expect the next season or Knockout City to start on July 27th, which means that there are only a few more weeks left for players to get up and finish whatever challenges they need to before the end of the first season is over. There’s also another Double XP event coming soon, so players who are low level and want o score some more cosmetics and Holobux should bring themselves to KO City and take on the rest of the brawlers and level up!

Once July 27th hits, Knockout City is going to start their next season, while the theme hasn’t been decided yet, the theme is certainly going to be different, including in season 2 is also 3 new events, Players were able to find themselves in 3 events during KO City’s first season, the Launch Block Party, the Heat Wave, and the Upcoming Double XP event, what these new events for the game will be is anyone’s guess. Another addition to Knockout City Season 2 is a New Ball and Map, This will certainly add some life to KO City, as the game’s Content has been stagnant since the release of the game, this will be sure to reel players back in and test out the new mechanics.

Much like some games before it, League play will also be resetting player’s progress as well and rewarding those who made it far enough into the league gauntlet. 5 New Gamemodes will also be revealed throughout the new season, meaning that more than one way to play KO City will be put into the game, Season 1 came with Ball Up Brawl and some Collecting game modes.

Lastly, Velan clued players in on when to expect Season 3 and 4, which are slated to come out sometime in Fall 2021, and Winter 2021 respectively. As the game’s seasons only last about 9 weeks, without a battle pass, the game is sure to include a lot of new content while still having the original $20 entry fee.

A Secret Revealed

Previously during the pre-release of KO City, a picture was posted online by the Twitter account showing off a character that was blocked off as “Secret” players theorized who this character was, and the answer will come to players on June 30th, 2021 at 5:30 EST. Originally It was slated for the 29th, but some technical issues caused Velan to move the date to the day after, giving players a chance to find out who the mysterious character is!

Regardless, it seems like KO City isn’t losing any steam at all, despite what its detractors say, players are still flooding into KO City to take on the plentiful challenges that await them, as well as dressing their best while doing it. The deal is even sweeter for players who want to get into the game just to check it out without having to spend a dime. The game is available for anyone to download and try for free, up until their character hits level 25, in which the player will have to purchase the game to continue, however, 25 levels is perfect to hook any player who’s wanting to join in on the fun and experience what the game has to offer!
