K0nfig Leaves Complexity and Could Move to Astralis

Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke is still recovering from a broken wrist but despite that, leaves Complexity. He was recently replaced by Coldzera as a Stand-In, and we were thinking it was only a matter of time before k0nfig came back, but alas, he leaves Complexity for something new. What could it be though? When he returns to action, it won’t be to Complexity – maybe he’ll be heading to Astralis to join their CSGO team? It would be a huge move for Astralis, as, after the loss of d1vice, they just have not been able to get things on track.
The SP34RM4N Moves On From Complexity
Complexity bid farewell to k0nfig as he leaves the org yesterday, October 7th, 2021. It’s been a pretty good year for Complexity overall, such as their recruitment of TimTheTatMan, but they lose a quality CSGO player. He still cannot play CSGO, but it’s possible he will be able to again in the near future. It seems like there’s nothing but love between the player and the org, but it’s time for something new to happen for k0nfig.
As of September, k0nfig confirmed the rehab is going well, with a tweet that read, “MOBILITY IS GOOD, NO PAIN, REHAB NOW AND ABSOLUTE DOMINATION SOON. F**K YES.” His specialist is surprised on how his mobility is improving, and he’s happy to be improving. K0nfig had nothing but kind things to say about his org:

“Thanks Complexity for being a great home. Thanks to the team blameF, es3tag, RUSH, poizon, and jks. Great friendships and incredible teammates. I wish you guys the best and hopefully our paths will cross. I’ll regain strength for next year and show dominance.”
He briefly teased Twitter with Valorant, but quickly followed up that he’ll play CSGO forever. 2022 promises to be a huge year for the CSGO player. He should be healed up, and there’s no end to the orgs that would want the aggressive CSGO player on their roster. But Astralis? They did lose dev1ce after all.
It’s being said that his contract is up on January 1st, 2022, and sources say that the next step for the Danish superstar is Astralis. It would again, be an incredible move as Astralis desperately needs something to get back on step. Nobody is talking, but that’s the current word on the street. Given the need for Astralis to improve after this less-than-stellar year, they’ve had in CSGO. Since k0nfig’s contract is up in the near future, it could be huge for both orgs. Complexity could try and keep Coldzera, and Astralis can wait until k0nfig’s contract is up, scoop him up and not have to buy out the contract. We’ll just have to keep an eye on this and keep you up to date as the story of k0nfig evolves, as he leaves Complexity.
