JW Calls out Banks, DreamEaters Social Media Woes, More – CS:GO Daily Recap 9/12/2019

by in CS:GO | Sep, 12th 2019

Welcome back everyone to another exciting day of CS:GO news! Today, we’ve got a look at JW’s beef on Twitter with Banks and Thorin, more weird social media posts from DreamEaters, a tease by Na’Vi’s squad for a who they’re new fifth is, and more.

As always, we’ve got a lot to cover today, so let’s dive on in.

Twitter Wars

Our first stop today is over to the world of Twitter, where a heated argument between Banks, Thorin, JW, and Flusha broke out yesterday afternoon.

The altercation began after news broke of Golden and Flusha’s impending return to the Fnatic line-up. Banks commented that he hoped this wouldn’t happen in the first place and hopes the team treats Golden well.

JW responded, questioning what Banks was implying with the tweet. He stated Golden had been treated very well on the squad, a comment which Banks quickly called out as false.

He pulled up old claims that Golden didn’t know he was getting benched from the squad or that he was switching positions in his last tournament. JW responded that Golden had been aware of the decision and had agreed with the team to do one last tournament with the squad in a new role.

While the two did come to terms by the end, the battle was far from over in the JW Twitter war as Thorin followed up lambasting JW for his remarks and claiming they were incorrect as well.

JW responded claiming Thorin was again incorrect on the matter. Thorin responded by switching to attacking their readdition of Flusha, claiming the team had initially cut him for playing poorly.

While JW continued to insist that wasn’t the reason for Flusha’s departure, the man himself came forward claiming he decided to leave the team. He didn’t understand where Thorin was getting his “facts” from.

For now, this appears to be the end of the JW Twitter beef, but considering the people involved it’s likely this won’t be one moment they’ll forget anytime soon.

DreamEaters Social Media Woes and Na’Vi knows

Speaking of social media drama, DreamEaters continues to act ridiculously online. The team has again released a tweet informing Na’Vi not to try and take their coach after the fellow CIS squad released theirs.

There’s no indication the team has looked at picking up the plucky CIS squad’s coach or players, so again the posts seem somewhat puzzling.

Boombl himself even commented on the post telling the org to just “be quiet please..”.

Speaking of Na’Vi, the team was out teasing roster moves during an interview at Blast Pro Moscow.

During the interview, Zeus hinted at the rumored pick-up of Guardian for the squad. He claimed the team was looking less for an IGL for their fifth and more of a sniper, giving a light chuckle and glance over to his teammates.

Guardian has been talking about retiring for a while now. It’d be a significant shift to see him suddenly decided to stay on as a player, though it’s becoming more and more likely by the day.

Shoxingly Huge Buyout and Acting Like Thorin

Lastly, Team Vitality is rumored to be looking into picking up KioShiMa over Shox after G2 allegedly wanted $500,000-$700,000 for his buyout.

While Shox is an active player, the buyout is an insane level for someone whose been playing for so long and likely coming up on the twilight years of his career.

On a funnier note, we got a rather silly interview from HLTV with ENCE’s SuNny and Allu discussing the team and how things have been as of late.

SuNny described how he’s not used to all the hate he’s been getting from 12-14-year old Finnish boys lately. Allu kiddingly remarked kids have been listening to too much Thorin lately.

It’s nice to see the boys in a good mood after their disappointing knockout in Berlin. Hopefully, they’ll be able to continue growing with their new squad over the next couple of months.

That’s all we have for today, thanks for reading. We’ll be back tomorrow with more CS:GO news, so stay tuned!
