by in Hearthstone | Nov, 23rd 2020

Hearthstone Duels is the latest free game mode added to Hearthstone via the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire expansion. To celebrate that, Blizzard is hosting the Darkmoon Duel Fest on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Some true titans of Hearthstone will be taking part with a cash prize of $200,000 on the line. Get ready for “Last Duelist Standing!”

Who Will Be the Last Duelist Standing?

Hearthstone’s Darkmoon Duel Fest is using a format called “Last Duelist Standing.” The competitors will play three closed-circuit Duels runs until one player remains, or one or more players reaches 12 wins. Winning a game nets you 10 points, but once you lose three games, you’re out.

The three Duels’ points will be recorded, which will be the deciding factor in who wins what in the Darkmoon Duel Fest in Hearthstone. Honestly, this promises to be exciting. These are likely going to be players who know the game inside and out. While you do get access to your collection of cards in Duels, you choose a Hero and a Hero Power before building a 15-card deck. You can find further information on the ins-and-outs of Duels here.

The Darkmoon Duel Fest goes down on the Hearthstone Twitch channel, but each of the individual players in the event will also be streaming, so you can watch theirs if you prefer. Speaking of which, who are the players taking part?
