How to Unlock Grau 5.56, Striker 45, and Lucky Strike in Modern Warfare Season 2

Activision and Infinity Ward significantly expanded Call of Duty: Modern Warfare this week with the release of a new update that brought Season 2 of the popular online multiplayer game. As you might expect, this second season has a lot of new content available.

Modern Warfare Season 2 Is Here with a New Battle Pass

In Modern Warfare Season 2, players can check out a ton of new multiplayer maps, game modes to play and a new battle pass. From normal multiplayer fans to Ground War players to even Gunfight competitors, there is something for everyone.

As with any new season, we have a new battle pass to progress through for 100 new tiers. Though it is only the second battle pass in the game, it offers plenty of new content and rewards for players to unlock for the next few months.

There are two versions of the new Season 2 battle pass. Both versions allow players a chance to unlock two Modern Warfare Season 2 weapons: Grau 5.56 and Striker 45. Players can buy the premium battle pass and gain some extra rewards or stick with the free version.

Two New Weapons Released in Modern Warfare Season 2

Regardless of which battle pass version you get, you’ll have access to Grau 5.56 and Striker 45. Everyone has the chance to play with these guns, but you do have to unlock them first.

Just because they are free doesn’t mean you get them for logging in. The first of the two Modern Warfare Season 2 weapons is Grau 5.56. If the name didn’t give it away, it is a rather lightweight and mobile assault rifle that you can use in the various multiplayer game modes.

We also have the Striker 45, which happens to be a strong SMG that you should consider adding to your arsenal. The weapon features a longer range than some of the other guns in its class. It also is rather powerful to boot, though, its rate of fire isn’t anything special.

If you’re interested in either of these Modern Warfare Season 2 weapons, we’ve got your back on how to unlock them.

How to Unlock Grau 5.56 and Striker 45

Let’s begin with the Grau 5.56. Every player will likely unlock this weapon first. Like we mentioned, you have access to getting this regardless of if you spend any money on the battle pass.

However, you must level up your tier in the Season 2 battle pass no matter what version you are using. You can unlock Grau 5.56 in the game at tier 15, which isn’t too bad at all. Likely, you can get there within a week or two.

To get your tier up, we recommend you level up your battle pass the same way you always do. You can do multiplayer matches or Special Operations to gain experience and gain tier ranks until you reach 15.

The Striker 45 SMG weapon takes longer to unlock in the game. Unlock this new SMG for your arsenal by reaching tier rank 31, which is higher than Grau 5.56. That is almost a third of the way through the new battle pass, which could take some time.

We recommend doing matches and game modes that you feel most skilled at so that you have better chances of winning and gaining the most experience. Regardless, this is an endeavor that could take you some time.

You can speed up the process of unlocking Grau 5.56 and Striker 45, but it requires spending some money. Not only is there a premium battle pass, but tier skips exist so that you skip a set number of tiers this season.

The typical tier skip bundle is around 20 tiers. Therefore, you can get Grau 5.56 right from the start of the season without doing anything else. You’ll even be more than halfway towards unlocking Striker 45, too. As we said, this isn’t for everyone. Only do this if you want the Modern Warfare Season 2 weapons as soon as possible.

How to Unlock Lucky Strike PS4 Exclusive Blueprint

Beyond the two Modern Warfare Season 2 weapons available in multiplayer, PS4 players get a bonus for the game. Unfortunately, this means that PC and Xbox One players have to miss out on this exclusive content for now.

If you are on PS4, you can earn the exclusive Lucky Strike weapon blueprint for the LMG weapon. Though you could technically get this weapon without the blueprint in the menus of the game, you likely will be there for a while trying to unlock it.

For PS4 players, you can unlock the blueprint for the Lucky Strike weapon in a much easier way. You can open this legendary LMG through a similar method to the season exclusive.

In Season 1 of the latest entry in the long-running first-person shooter series, players on PS4 got the Jack Frosty weapon blueprint. Like that scenario, players had to find the exclusive mission for the blueprint and complete it to unlock the Lucky Strike blueprint.

In this case, to find the missions head to the missions tab in the barracks and activate it there. There are some multi-step challenges in the mission, but completing all of them earns you some experience and the Lucky Strike blueprint.

This exclusive PS4 blueprint remains on PS4 only until October 1 and becomes available for the PC and Xbox One versions of the game then.
