How to Unlock Fortnite Autumn Queen Weapon Skin
Epic Games is feeling the thankful holiday spirit and is celebrating with a special weapon wrap skin. The new Fortnite Autumn Queen weapon skin is one that you can unlock in the game for free, no matter where you are or what platform you are on.
There is no better deal than something free. Such is the case with the Fortnite Autumn Queen weapon skin. Players can earn this cosmetic item for free through an exclusive method.
It is a method that is going to take some time and isn’t quite guaranteed yet. In a strange but interesting way of earning the skin, this is one skin that is either earned by every single battle royale player who logs in or no one will get it.
Fortnite Autumn Queen Skin Requires Community Points
The Fortnite Autumn Queen weapon skin can be earned by players in the community around the world working together to unlock the skin. It will take effort from players to ensure that everyone gets it in this new quest that is happening right now.
The quest is the same for everyone: Earn enough points to unlock the new weapon skin. The goal is an insane one in that the community must earn 2.5 billion points during this time. That is an insane number of points, but there are a few ways to get them.
There are three main ways that a player can earn points in the game right now to reach that massive goal. All three methods give different points, so it is worth using up all three of them to get the most points out of every single match that you do.
How to Earn Points During the Quest
The first of these methods revolves around reviving a teammate. It is done regularly. You won’t want to go the rest of the match without one of your pals, if possible. If you can revive a teammate, you will receive two points every time that you do this.
The next method is equally beneficial to your teammates and requires you to heal your allies with the bandage bazooka weapon item. If you heal your teammate with this item, you receive one point for every single point of health that you heal them for.
For example, if you heal them for half of their health, which is 50, you receive 50 points for that instance alone. It is a lot more than the measly two points that you get for reviving someone, but it does require the bandage bazooka.
Finally, play a match with your friend. If you play through a match with one of your friends, you receive a nice set of five points. These methods are crafted to ensure that players are playing the game in the most cooperative way possible.
This makes a whole lot of sense since the event is revolving around every player in the world working together to unlock the Fortnite Autumn Queen weapon skin. If you play a single match during this time and do all three of the things mentioned above, you will get a fair bit of points.
Two points for reviving a teammate, 50 points for healing 50 points of health for your teammate and playing a match with a friend for five points adds up to 57 points just for that match. That might not sound like a lot compared to the whopping 2.5 billion points required, but it is a significant number in the long run.
If every player was to do that, it would take just shy of 44 million players playing one match each and earning those same points to get everyone the skin. That may seem like a lot of players and that is, especially since not every player is going to earn that many points.
But if players suddenly play four or five, or even 10 matches during this quest, it suddenly turns into a much smaller pool of players who are needed for doing so. With so many streamers and other content creators out there, who are playing dozens of matches each day, it seems a lot more plausible.
Then there is the part where you can team up with three of your friends. If you find yourself a group of four where you are all friends with one another, you can suddenly be gaining 15 points for each of you just there for every match that you do together.
Also, you can designate one of your teammates as the medic for the group who will work hard to find the bandage bazooka. This player will be the one who is dedicated to solely healing up the team when you are damaged.
This method of playing the game together works wonders with stuff like Team Rumble where you can keep playing with respawns for a while, so there are plenty of healing opportunities available to you. If the community can do this around the world on all platforms, it shouldn’t take too long to reach the goal.
When the Quest Ends and When You Will Receive the Autumn Quest Weapon Skin
But the issue with this is that you only have a limited amount of time to complete this. The quest is only available through Sunday, December 1 at 5 pm PT. If players do not reach the required points for the community at that point, the Fortnite Autumn Queen weapon skin will be lost for everyone.
That is not a long period of time with only a few days available for everyone. But considering that a lot of students are off for Thanksgiving in the United States, it is likely that Epic Games is counting on that for allowing players plenty of time during that period to check out a few matches.
As such, we still don’t doubt that the 2.5 billion points will be met for that period. If that is done, then everyone who participated in the event will be granted the Fortnite Autumn Queen weapon skin. This does mean that players who weren’t participating will not enjoy it, though.
If you are wanting to grab this sweet weapon skin for your account, you are going to want to join in on all the action, too. All you need to do is complete a single match before the deadline of December 1. If you do this and the community gets the required points, you will get the skin, too.
It doesn’t even matter how many points you contribute to the overall goal either. You can earn zero points but still earn the skin so long as you participate in one match and the community reaches the goal. However, this is something we recommend against, so we recommend that you do earn some points at least.
Because if every player has the same thought process of just playing one match to get the skin, then it is possible that no one will get enough points to reach the required amount and then no one will get the skin. But if we do reach the necessary goal, players will have to wait a little bit for the skin.
Epic Games will be giving out the weapon skin to everyone who participated on December 6. So, even though the event ends on December 1, players will need to wait around five days before the wrap will show up in their account. Until then, be sure to get as many points as you possibly can.
