How to Play PUBG Battlegrounds for Free for a Limited Time
Summer is coming to an end, and PUBG: Battlegrounds is celebrating with a limited-time free play event! It begins today and allows anyone to play on PC for free, and take part in a wealth of in-game content. It’s pretty great news for PUBG fans who want to drag their friends in to play with them! Do you have what it takes to survive the Battlegrounds? Then it’s time for you to hop on Steam and see if the premiere Battle Royale game is for you!
What’s Featured in PUBG: Battlegrounds Free Week?
Perhaps the best part about PUBG: Battlegrounds’ Free Week is that it allows you to play all of the content. The event itself lasts from August 10th through August 16th and is only available on Steam. All of the maps will be available to play. This includes the new 8×8 South Korea-set map, Taego. In addition, you can play on Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikdendi, and Karakin! PUBG: Battlegrounds is more than just Battle Royale though.
There’s also a Zombie Survival mode, through PUBG LABS. Group with some other players and try to make it through 10 stages of zombie waves. Slaughter zombies, earn Survival Coins and buy better equipment to help survive. If that wasn’t enough for you, there’s also the current BLACKPINK X PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS collaboration. A variety of BLACKPINK-themed elements will be on the maps, and there are a variety of themed items to purchase as well.
The newest map, Taego also has a Survivor Pass to purchase for a wealth of in-game items. This will include exclusive character and weapon skins. It will also be to your benefit to create a Global Account and link it to Steam during the PUBG: Battlegrounds Free Play Week. Through the Global Account Event, you’ll unlock the “Traditional Glasses-Round” item this way. In addition, creating this Global Account this week lets you retain your stats, earned in-game items, and Survivor Pass progress once the Free Week has ended.
