To unlock this camo, it is the simple to understand, difficult to grasp task of having to get all the platinum camos for each weapon. Though you don’t have to do anything once you have platinum, you do have to get them for every single weapon.

This is a monumental task that requires completing a ton of challenges and various tasks that aren’t the easiest to do with each of the weapons. But one Reddit user has posted a potentially faster solution for getting the Modern Warfare Damascus camo for all your weapons.

Reddit User Comes Up With Faster Way of Getting Damascus Camo

The Reddit user mmmbbb posted a surprisingly lengthy post to the official sub-Reddit page for the game. They noted that they looked around Reddit, YouTube, and other social media sites and forums and have yet to see anyone else mention this solution.

We haven’t seen this solution either. It is a great one for speeding up the process of getting the Modern Warfare Damascus camo. It all starts with you equipping the Spotter perk no matter what game mode you are playing the game in.

For those who don’t know, the Spotter perk allows you to see any enemy equipment, field upgrades, and killstreaks through even walls. It is a useful perk on its own. You can watch out for various equipment that can take you out like claymores, UAV drones, and the like.

Since you have the Spotter perk equipped, you can find these valuable pieces of equipment and destroy every single one of them. Every single equipment item, killstreak, field upgrade, and so on that you find on the map.

The Reddit user also recommends that you have the FMJ equipped on your weapon no matter which gun that you are trying to get the gold and platinum camos for. For instance, if you find an enemy claymore, you can safely crouch, reload, do hipfire, and anything else that you need.

You can do this to destroy the equipment, and it will count towards your killstreak, kills, and other challenges for the gun as if you are killing another player in the game without having to. It is something that even works in the new Ground War mode introduced in this game.

The user noted that in a game of Ground War, you could shoot down six UAV drones in one life and that would count as two three-killstreaks, six kills in total, six crouch/mount kills if you do it that way, reload kills, and so on. Essentially, anything that a player puts down or calls in counts for this.

To go even further, some killstreaks in the sky counts as long shots occasionally if they are far enough away. Ground War can benefit players looking to get the Modern Warfare Damascus camo since you can take out a lot of enemy equipment with even bad guns.

Because the enemy equipment counts as actual kills for some reason in these challenges, you no longer must worry about getting these super-specific kills against other players and do it against the much easier non-player character targets.

Damascus Solution Could Cut Time in Half for Unlocking the Camo

This is an excellent way of speeding up the whole challenge process. You can unlock your Modern Warfare Damascus camo as well as the other ones that precede it. It is also great for those players who aren’t the best at getting kills and would take a long time to accomplish otherwise.

The comments on the Reddit post seem to suggest that little to no other players in the community knew that this was a thing already. One player even suggests that this tip for the camo could half their grind time for getting it.
