Six-Shooter Is This Week’s Hearthstone Tavern Brawl
Blizzard has revealed and begun the latest Tavern Brawl for players to check out in the popular card game Hearthstone. Tavern Brawls are limited-time affairs that give players a unique set of rules to follow for the matches. It could be a multiplayer match, one where your deck is picked for you, and so on.
Hearthstone Six-Shooter Tavern Brawl Details
The one that Blizzard has chosen for this week is the Hearthstone Six-Shooter Tavern Brawl. It’s an interesting one that challenges players to pick their very best cards and duke it out in real Wild West-style dueling. If you didn’t check out Six-Shooter before when it was a Tavern Brawl, we’ve got the lowdown for you.
Like the gun named after it, you have six bullets in your proverbial gun to fire off at your opponent. Those six bullets are the six cards that you select to be part of your deck. That’s right; you only have six cards period in this crazy but fast-paced Tavern Brawl.
Those six cards will be your bullets of sorts to battle out against the enemy, but the Hearthstone Six-Shooter Tavern Brawl theme doesn’t end there. Like a typical revolver, you can “reload” your gun. When you run out of the six cards that you’ve already used, the game will reload them for you.
You will be able to reload and keep firing off those six cards that you already played. Those are the basics of the Hearthstone Six-Shooter Tavern Brawl. Though it is a simple enough Tavern Brawl to grasp and understand, it is one that will be difficult to master in the end.
Hearthstone Six-Shooter Tips and Tricks
When you start the Hearthstone Six-Shooter Tavern Brawl, you will be given the option of the hero that you want, and then you will select your six cards for the mode. It is here that you will need to take extra care to choose the right cards for the job.
After all, you are limited to literally only six cards in total, which is not a lot at all and is a far cry from the usual decks that we have in the game. You will need six cards that are both varied and synergize well at the same time.
For one, it certainly seems like it will be like a standard match in that you will gain mana each turn, so you don’t want to find yourself unable to cast anything at the beginning because you opted for only powerful cards. So, you will need a wide range of the very best cards you have.
At the same time, though, you won’t want to pick cards that are the very best simply because they are. You’ll need cards that are relative to one another in some way. For instance, choosing a card that boosts the attack of every other monster you have will be great.
Or, if there is a particularly powerful spell that you want to use to burn the opponent’s health down, that’s great when paired with other cards of a similar style. Of course, as always, there are some restrictions as to what cards you can and can’t use during the Tavern Brawl.
Hearthstone Six-Shooter Rules and Restricted Cards

For one, you can choose any card from any type or match format so long as it is already in your collection. However, you are limited to one copy of a card in your deck for the Tavern Brawl. This ultimately doesn’t matter too much as we’ll get into in a moment.
Then some cards are outright banned from being used in the Tavern Brawl. These include cards like Whizbang the Wonderful and Zayle, Shadow Cloak. Both banned is understandable since it allows you to start the match with one of the unique decks they offer.
That would give the player with that card a potentially unfair advantage in the Hearthstone Six-Shooter Tavern Brawl since they are then able to have a complete deck rather than just a handful of cards. Some other cards aren’t allowed in the match format beyond those.
Other than that, the matches themselves play out rather like what you would expect. Each player starts with 30 health, and you will go through the six cards that you have selected. When you run out of cards, your next draw will have the game randomly choose one of the six cards to give to you.
This will continue onward until one of the players ends up victorious. Since you can use the same six cards over and over throughout the match like you are reloading a revolver, there is no need to add multiple copies of the same card that you like.
Rewards and How Long the Tavern Brawl Will Last
Like with every Tavern Brawl, this one will reward you for doing well in it. When you get your first win in the limited-time mode, you will receive a free classic card pack. However, the time for earning it is limited as the Tavern Brawl will only stick around for a week or so until October 9.
Until then, be sure to build your deck using only six cards and when it is over, tune in here next week for the following Tavern Brawl that Blizzard will release for the game.
