Hearthstone Grandmasters Week 5 Schedule Announced
Blizzard has announced the Hearthstone Grandmasters week 5 schedule for this upcoming weekend. This is sort of an off week since we are coming right off of Hearthstone Masters Tour Las Vegas 2019 from the past weekend. However, this weekend is, thankfully, a return to form for the weekly Grandmasters competition.
Interestingly enough, two particular competitors Kevin “Casie” Eberlein and Jon “Orange” Westberg will be trying their hands at using the popular Bomb Warrior deck that was featured during the Masters Tour Las Vegas.
Hearthstone Grandmasters Week 5 Schedule
The action all begins with the first match of Frank “Fr0zen” Zhang taking on Firebat later today at 12 pm PT. Fr0zen, in particular, has kept his primary deck entirely the same but will be removing a few cards from his secondary and tertiary decks in exchange for a few new cards.
Interestingly enough, Fr0zen didn’t do nearly as well as his pal David “Dog” Caero did last weekend at the Masters Tour in Las Vegas where Dog was able to walk away with the championship trophy. It’s exciting to see if the changes to Fr0zen’s deck will help give him the win against Firebat who sat out the Masters Tour to spend time with his family.
The second match of the Hearthstone Grandmasters week 5 schedule will occur tomorrow, Saturday, June 22. It will be between Casper “Hunterace” Notto and Orange at 7 am PT, 10 am ET. This will be arguably the most exciting match of this week for multiple reasons.
For one, Orange is using the Bomb Warrior deck this week, which could be risky but potentially profitable for him as well. What makes it more interesting is that these two players fought each other in week one and Orange was able to squeeze out a victory over Hunterace.
It only gets more complicated in the fact that both of them are currently tied for second place in the European Division B. To round it out, Hunterace did vastly better than Orange at the Masters Tour so it’s safe to say that this match could go either way.
The third and final match on the Hearthstone Grandmasters week 5 schedule is Tyler Hoang Nguyen versus Jang “DawN” Hyun Jae. This one could be rather interesting, too, since Tyler had to drop out of the Masters Tour last weekend due to feeling ill.
Meanwhile, DawN did okay during the Masters Tour getting a six/six record for the event. But DawN was able to defeat Tyler in week two of Grandmasters. As such, this is also another match that could go either way depending on the performance and decks the players use.
Hearthstone Week 5 Casters and How to Watch
As for who will be casting and commentating on the Hearthstone Grandmasters week 5 event, there will be surprising faces. This is because many of the usual casters will be out for Nathan “Admirable” Zamora’s wedding. For the Americas, the casters will be Neil “L0rinda” Bond and Masters Tour second place participant Edward “Gallon” Goodwin.
In Europe, the casters will be Daniel “Falcone” Falcone and Mihai “Languagehacker” Dragalin. Last but not least, the Asia-Pacific commentators will be Hunterace and Darroch “Darroch” Brown. You can watch all of the action on the official Hearthstone Twitch channel here.
