Hearthstone Comic-Con Panel Will Feature Four New Legendary Cards
Blizzard has released info regarding the upcoming Hearthstone Comic-Con panel that will be taking place in San Diego, California this upcoming weekend. Though the major convention is mainly focused on comics and superhero movies, the popular card battling game will be getting some love there, too.
In fact, fans of Hearthstone will get the chance to see the voices of some of their favorite characters in appearance at the panel as they talk about everything going on with the upcoming expansion Saviors of Uldum. In addition, the Hearthstone Comic-Con panel will feature the reveal of some new cards.
Blizzard is teasing that four cards in total will be revealed at the Hearthstone Comic-Con panel and all of them will be legendary cards from the latest expansion so you won’t want to miss out if you’re going to be at the convention in person.
Hearthstone Comic-Con Panel Details
Though we don’t know any details about the four new cards besides the fact that they will be legendary, we can glean some info from the panel itself. The panel will feature four main guests that have been announced thus far and the guests include three of the four main characters from the expansion.
The Saviors of Uldum expansion revolves around the four members of the League of Explorers as they take on the League of EVIL from the recent Rise of Shadows expansion and try to save the world in the process. Three of the four members will have their voice actors in attendance at the panel.
Amy Walker, voice of League of Explorers’ member Elise Starseeker, Carlos Larkin, voice of Brann Bronzebeard, and Terrence Stone, voice of Sir Finley Mrrgglton, will be guests in the panel. The fourth member of the group, Reno Jackson, will be noticeably absent, likely due to voice actor Travis Willingham being busy with other events at the convention.
In place of the voice of Reno, Hearthstone game designer Dave Kosak will be the fourth member of the Hearthstone Comic-Con panel. The panel itself will be moderated by Andrea Toyias, the senior casting and voice director for Blizzard.
The panel will center around the process of how the game designers as well as the voice actors implement the characters in the upcoming expansion. The panel will be very behind the scenes-focused so fans in attendance will get to learn about how the voice acting and design process works.
Hearthstone Comic-Con Panel Date and Time
The fact that four legendary cards will also be revealed there, though, gives us an idea of what they might be. It is presumed that the cards will be related to the four classes that the heroes of the League of Explorers are part of. We will have to wait until the panel to find out for sure.
The Hearthstone Comic-Con panel will be happening on Thursday, July 18 at 12 pm PT. Blizzard has yet to announce if the panel will be streamed on the official Twitch channel or not. If it isn’t streamed and you aren’t able to be in attendance in person, be sure to check back here for a recap of the four legendary cards announced after the panel.
