Hashinshin Claims FBI Cleared Him of Sexual Harassment Allegations

by in Entertainment | Oct, 8th 2020

Back in July, Robert “Hashinshin” Brotz was accused of sexual harassment of minors. However, the popular League of Legends streamer has now claimed the FBI cleared him of sexual harassment allegations. There are quite a few huge names in the League scene that outed Hashinshin as a predator, but now, there are claims he’s innocent. Are these claims true, or is it just Hashinshin trying to get back his career? He was after all permanently banned on Twitch after these allegations came to light. Either way, it’s a disgusting thing if it’s true.

The question of course is, if the claims of Voyboy and Yassuo are true or not. If what Hashinshin says is true, he was investigated by the FBI and is clear of charges. Though Twitch banned Hashinshin, and his partnership was terminated, he still has the ability to stream on YouTube. Twitch was very clear about their stance on serious sexual misconduct allegations recently. But what was said in this post?

“Things Aren’t As They Seem” – Hashinshin

Back in July, quite a few women came forward claiming Hashinshin groomed them while underage. To this day, Hashinshin continues to deny the allegations of sexual harassment and feels he is finally proven innocent by the FBI. Not everyone seems to be convinced of his innocence, now nor then. Back in July, Yassuo pointed out that after the claims, Hashinshin harassed the victims, claimed he was innocent, and put out a half-hearted apology after the “irrefutable proof” came out. That apology was then deleted, and since he’s stated innocence.

Now, admittedly, several of the women who accused the streamer have since deleted their statements. If the targeted harassment is true, that would explain why the accusations were dropped in a public forum. Back in July, Hashinshin stated “I’m not a pedo but I have… done some pedo adjacent things maybe,” Hashinshin is seen having written in some of these chat logs. That article is filled with images and screenshots from these accusations.

On October 7th, Brotz made the following statement:

“There has been an FBI investigation into me, and I have neither been jailed or charged with a crime. Some of you might not believe that. I have a freedom of information request [to prove my innocence publicly], but that can take up to a year.”

In this statement, he suggested he was considering suing some of the women that came forward, because they “did a public assessment of [his[ character” and in turn, ruined the popular opinion of the streamer:

“I was going to sue Alli for defamation — and I probably should have — but Alli is not a victim, and people started getting these really distorted views on what was happening.”

Time Before We Know the Truth

Hashinshin also posted a photo of his FOIA Request (Freedom of Information Request). He says this will prove his innocence publicly, but it could take up to a year to get this finalized. He has not posted the actual number of his FOIPA, perhaps for security. It’s not our place to make allegations of the validity of his request, only that he has made the claim of his innocence.

We will however say that if this is true, and the FBI has actually come to the conclusion that Hashinshin is innocent of the sexual harassment allegations, hopefully, everyone can move forward. This is a very murky and unfortunate situation. Hopefully, Hashinshin’s claims of working on improving his mental health are also accurate and true.

Brotz also had this to say on the people who made the initial allegations:

“I don’t want anyone to attack them. I just want to go back to living a normal life. I just want to exist peacefully, and I hope people can start letting me do that. I hope this can change their minds in some way.”

Hashinshin went on record to say that he doesn’t think his accusers are all terrible, but they should apologize to him and that they betrayed his trust. It’s awful if this was truly a witch hunt, and the man was innocent, but it seems like there was a fair amount of proof on the outset, when this came to light in July.

It is definitely not impossible for a woman to manipulate a man, or to be bullied in a relationship. But this whole situation is definitely not one for us to judge. All we can say is that Hashinshin claims the FBI investigated him and was found innocent. Perhaps once the FOIA request goes through, we will see this for ourselves.

You can find his full statement in his latest Youtube video. But what do you think? Gaslighting, lies, or is he actually innocent and the victim of a witch hunt? We’d love to know where you stand.
