GTA Remastered Trilogy PC Specs Leaked Online
The upcoming GTA Trilogy has a lot of people excited and, well, it’s easy to understand why — we’re talking about some of the most beloved games in history! No one was really clamoring for them to get remastered, but as far as “cash grabs” go, this is a pretty darn alluring one! As far as hardware requirements go, we already know what kind of specs your PC will need to run all three games and, frankly, an older computer that’s showing its age will be more than sufficient!
The following information was leaked by alloc8or, a member of the GTAForums. Whether it’s true or not still remains to be seen, but the requirements listed below are by no means unreasonable, so there’s no reason to doubt their validity just yet. With that being said, take everything you read with a grain of salt as nothing has been made official at the time of this writing.
GTA Remastered Trilogy — PC Specs
As already mentioned, you won’t need a PC with beastly specs to enjoy the remastered GTA Trilogy which, in short, is quite exciting news; that means more people will be able to experience these legendary titles even though they might not have the latest and greatest hardware at their disposal.
Minimum system requirements:
CPU: Intel Core i5-2700K or AMD FX-6300
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
RAM: 8 GB
Storage: 45 GB
Recommended system requirements:
CPU: Intel Core i7-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB
RAM: 16 GB
Storage: 45 GB
All in all, these are very tame requirements, ones that any remotely modern PC will be able to meet. The following snippet of some kind of press release also paints a much clearer picture of what we can expect:
“Three iconic cities, three epic stories. Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all-new levels of detail.”
It goes without saying, but these remasters have all the potential in the world, and we just hope that Rockstar did the source material justice! GTA: The Trilogy Definitive Edition is scheduled to release before the end of the year for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch, with iOS and Android ports coming just a few months afterward in 2022.
