GeT RiGhT Leaves NiP, Complexity’s Huge Pickups – CS:GO Recap 9/26/2019 (Part 2)

by in CS:GO | Sep, 26th 2019

Welcome back everyone to a second recap for CS:GO news today. So much has dropped since our last recap earlier today, we decided to do an extra helping of CS:GO news for you all!

As always, we’ve got a lot to cover today, so let’s dive on in.

GeT_RiGhT On Out Of Here

While it’s been rumored for months, it’s finally happened: after over 2,500 days on the squad GeT_RiGhT is finally leaving NiP.

In a post on the team’s website, NiP thanked him for his long, legendary career, and noted that while he was stepping down from the squad, he was looking to still compete on a team elsewhere, wishing him luck in his future endeavors.

This news does confirm he’s not retiring and, hopefully, he finds success on whatever team he lands on as GeT RiGhT Leaves NiP on his own terms.

Truly this is the end of an era for CS.

Complexity Making Moves

Speaking of roster moves, Complexity has finally begun making big changes to their squad, today announced the pick up of BlameF and RUSH for their new starting lineup, with BlameF replacing Rickeh and RUSH replacing a currently unknown other members of the line-up.

With only OBo really safe from the original squad, expect more roster changes in the coming weeks, though the team may also stick with RUSH-BlameF-OBo-ShahZaM-Dephh for now and see how that line-up shakes up.

Jason Lake did mention in the team’s discord that they were looking to remain mostly NA, so they’re going to need to be careful when picking up any more players (they’re three NA to two EU right now), less they end up having to compete in the much more difficult EU circuit.

Heroic Going from Hero to Zero

While the move was great for Complexity in picking up BlameF, the loss of another player for Heroic is making things look rather dire for the Danish org.

They’ve now lost three players in a little over a month, first kicking NaToSaphiX back in August, then losing Friberg, and now this?

Heroic talked about wanting to build a strong roster, but now they’re letting their best players go? As Jake said in the video above, it’s becoming harder and harder to support the squad with moves like these.

Hopefully, they turn it around soon.

That’s all we have for today, thanks for reading. It’s been a wild day, with the future uncertain as GeT RiGhT leaves NiP and Complexity shakes things up. We’ll be back tomorrow with more CS:GO news, so stay tuned!
