Gen.G’s New Roster Includes Bdd and Clid
The 2019 League of Legends off-season is one of the most exciting and thrilling moments in the entire season. This one has been especially insane. When it comes to the LCK, however, many wondered where individual free agents would end up after a spectacular showing throughout 2019. It seems one team already won the off-season as the Gen.G LCK roster has announced, and it’s stacked.
We’re really excited to announce our newest additions to the Gen.G @leagueoflegends team: Clid, @Rascal_LoL1, and @Bdd990301! We ask our Gen.G #TigerNation fans to give them a warm welcome! pic.twitter.com/oX1zNteb3q

How Well Will Gen.G’s Roster Perform in 2020?
Talk about a dominant mix of players and legends:
- Top Lane: Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee
- Jungle: Kim “Clid” Tae-min
- Mid lane: Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong
- AD Carry: Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk
- Support: Kim “Life” Jeong-min
As the 2019 season developed, it became apparent that Clid was not only a force to be reckoned with regionally but also one of the best junglers in the entire world. His commanding, high-octane playstyle was spectacular, and it enabled SK Telecom T1 often. Bdd, an absolute legend in his own right, was looking for a new team to call home after a somewhat disappointing showing under KT Rolster.
The fact that Gen.G secured two of the most sought-after Korean behemoths is staggering. They, once again, have a world-class line-up that should be capable of throwing down with the best teams the LPL and LEC have to offer.
It begs the question: Could this powerhouse lift the LCK trophy? Will it be enough? On paper, it certainly looks like it.
Then again, it’s not like they’re going to be the only stacked team in the LCK come 2020. T1 (formerly SK Telecom T1), once again, will rebuild and compete at the highest of levels (or at least we assume so, they did lose many key players). Griffin will reportedly re-sign all of their players. DAMWON Gaming showed potential throughout 2019 and had a phenomenal run at Worlds. Then there’s the rest of the LCK pack: DragonX, Afreeca Freecs, KT Rolster, and so on.
Everyone has a shot, give or take. That said, Gen.G should be one of the biggest favorites as their current line-up is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The Gen.G LCK roster does have faults, but they should overcome inherent weaknesses with the right coaching.
Will Gen.G’s roster win the LCK? Will it be enough to dethrone the Chinese champions and usher in yet another era of LCK dominance? It’s too early to predict anything with confidence, but the potential is certainly there.
