The Fortnite V7.20 content update is a continuation of last week’s Patch V7.20 that brings along a few upgrades to the game.

Currently, the Fortnite map is covered in snow due to the Ice Storm event, and players will now be able to blend in with this wintery environment using the new Sneaky Snowman item. Sharpshooters should also enjoy the latest update due to the addition of the limited time mode known as Sniper Shootout!

Battle Royale Updates

New Item (Battle Royale and Creative)

Sneaky Snowman

• Use Primary Fire to throw a projectile that creates a destructible snowman.
• Use Secondary Fire to wear the Sneaky Snowman.
• Sneaky Snowman has 100 Health and acts as a shield when worn by a player.
• Sneaky Snowman is destroyed when its Health reaches zero or when the player wearing the snowman swaps to a different item or building mode.
• Drops in stacks of 5.

Players looking to test out this item will not have a hard finding it since it is of common rarity. You will have two choices with this item — either create a decoy snowman that will leave your opponent paranoid (since there is that threat someone might be in the snowman) or use your secondary fire to dress up in a life-sized snowman outfit.

If you choose the second option, be careful. You cannot use weapons or items while in snowman form. Also, even though you have a small health shield with this disguise, enemies can still kill you instantly if their weapon is strong enough, so be wise with your Jack Frost form.

Nerfs

• Reduced the drop chance of Shield potions, Gliders and Balloons.
• Reduced the spawn chance of Quad Crashers and X-4 Stormwings.
• The Quad Rocket Launchers, Port-A-fortress, and Grappler have been vaulted and removed from the game.

New Limited Time Mode

Sniper Shootout

• Only scoped weapons are allowed
• Suppressed Sniper Rifles have been added.
• Reviving “Down But Not Out” teammates in Duos & Squads is deactivated – be careful peeking!
• Profile Stats (K/D & Wins) are tracked in this mode

This is perfect timing for this new game mode since most of the sniper rifles received a buff last patch that makes them a lot more reliable. If you are in a “Boom, headshot!” kind of mood, jump into this LTM added in the Fortnite V7.20 content update and test your sniper skills against other marksmen.

Save The World Updates

New Weapon

Guardian’s Will Sword

• Damage: 69
• Crit Damage: 75%
• Durability: 375

To get this medieval sword, players will have to complete this week’s Frostnite Challenge and defeat enemies with various modifiers that will enhance their abilities. This melee weapon will do severe damage to your opponent if it connects. Be sure to take advantage of this weapon’s devastating leap heavy attack.

New Hero

Lynx Kassandra

• Mythic variant of the Fleetfoot subclass.

This new catlike hero will be available in the Event Store on January 23. Lynx is from the Fleetfoot class, so she is considered a ninja who specializes in fast movement and stealth attacks.

Other Gameplay Changes

The Fortnite V7.20 content update was small, but it should keep players happy until the next major patch. Also, be sure to drop at the newest structure featured on The Block known as the Omega Pyramid— created by DirectingPete.
