The next Twitch Rivals event has been announced and it is unlike anything else that we have seen before for Fortnite battle royale. The game is no stranger to the popular Twitch Rivals event where various Twitch streamers battle it out against other popular content creators but this is different.

Fortnite Streamer Bowl Is Coming Soon

Twitch Rivals is hosting the Fortnite Streamer Bowl, an exciting event that will see various top streamers partner up with some real-life NFL players to compete in a duos tournament. Since these stars are already successful on their own, the money earned will go towards charity.

The Fortnite Streamer Bowl is gearing up to happen later this month but, in the meantime, Twitch Rivals has hosted the draft event. Paying homage to the popular draft that precedes every major NFL season, the streamers who are participating in the event had the chance to do their own draft.

A list of participating NFL players were chosen to be in the event, many of which have made it known that they are fans of the free-to-play battle royale game. As such, it was intriguing for the content creators in the event to have the chance to pick the partner that they think would be the best.

Top content creators like TimtheTatman, Reverse2K, Bugha, and more had the opportunity to pick their celebrity partner to play together with them during the event. A recent livestream was held for the draft event and the 16 duos teams have been selected.

Some of the NFL celebrities that were in the draft include Juju Smith-Schuster, Kyle Van Noy, Johnathan Abram, and many more. There is a total of 32 players who will be participating in the Fortnite Streamer Bowl, evenly split in half between the content creators and the sports stars.

All 16 Streamer Bowl Duo Teams

Each content creator is partnered up with a celebrity NFL player and the teams have been decided just a couple of weeks before the actual event happens live. You can find the full list of the duo teams below:

  • Unknownxarmy and Philadelphia Eagles’ Avonte Maddox
  • Bugha and Pittsburgh Steelers’ Juju Smith-Schuster
  • Nickmercs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Mike Evans
  • Reverse2K and Baker Mayfield (Cleveland Browns)
  • Aydan and Kurt Benkert (Atlanta Falcons)
  • Chap and Kyle Van Noy (New England Patriots)

  • BrookeAB and Eric Ebron (Indianapolis Colts)

  • LosPollosTV and Jamal Adams (New York Jets)

As you can see, these are some of the best battle royale players out there with some intimidating teams, to say the least. Teams like Bugha and Juju Smith-Schuster should be carefully watched, as the current World Cup champion teams up with an NFL player who is known to love the game.

In the end, though, the Fortnite Streamer Bowl is mainly all about fun and earning money for charity rather than finding out who the best of the best is. This is the final stage in the multi-part tournament event that has been going on for the last couple of months.

There were four minor showcases that happened in December and January where streamers and NFL athletes would team up together. It has all culminated in the actual Fortnite Streamer Bowl that will take place just before the actual Super Bowl in early February.
