Fortnite Star Wars Event End Date Reportedly Leaked
Epic Games released one of the biggest and most important crossovers in Fortnite history in 2019 with the release of the Fortnite and Star Wars collaboration event. The limited-time event wasn’t as impressive as other ones, but it still included some major elements from a galaxy far, far away.
Players visited various First Order crashed TIE fighter sites, pick up their very own lightsaber and secure skins based on characters from the most recent trilogy of movies. But like with all good things, it must come to an end at some point as it can’t last forever. Such is the case with the Fortnite Star Wars end date reportedly revealed recently by a data miner for the game.
Fortnite Star Wars End Date Leaked by Data Miners
Renowned data miner HYPEX revealed the in-game files for the free-to-play battle royale game show when the crossover event ends. The user noted on Twitter that they could see that the lightsabers in the game supposedly removed from the default modes of the game on January 7. At the very least, this does mean that players can enjoy the lightsabers until then.
As of now the Lightsabers are scheduled to be removed from default modes on January 7!

Of course, the Fortnite Star Wars end date could change with players are getting more time with the lightsabers and other elements. But, for now, we recommend getting in as much time as you can just in case the end date is correct.
The Fortnite Star Wars end date of January 7 lines up well with what we expected it to be. It falls in line perfectly with the end of the Winterfest event going on right now. Both events started roughly around the same time, so it makes sense to end them around the same time, too.
It is especially great since we have had a lot of time with the collaboration event, much more time, in fact, than other similar crossovers in battle royale history. It began when players were treated to some Stormtrooper skins and teased something bigger coming.
What the Fortnite Star Wars Event Includes
Players could walk around like a Stormtrooper as well as see a Star Destroyer ship from the franchise floating over the battle royale island, introduced at the start of Chapter 2, Season 1.
Weeks later, Disney and Epic Games announced a special viewing event where players saw an exclusive scene from The Rise of Skywalker film which concluded the Skywalker Saga for good. This was a live experience like no other in the game before.
Players showed up for that event one time as it happened live with the film’s director JJ Abrams even making an appearance in the game for the occasion. While the scene and overall live experience only lasted for a couple of minutes, it was something wholly unique.
Players watched a scene from a movie at Risky Reels together for free as well as interact in a live audience sort of way. It culminated in lightsabers on the stage after the event for players to battle it out against each other with.
From this moment forward, players found lightsabers and other various Star Wars themes in the basic battle royale modes including solo, duos, and squads. There were TIE fighters scattered around the map, a whole slew of challenges for players to complete, and skins for players to purchase in the game.
It was a massive event, albeit one that was standard and didn’t do anything grand like giving a new limited-time game mode. Regardless, it has allowed fans to show their love for the franchise in a new, interactive way but that Fortnite Star Wars end date looms closer.
What’s Left to Complete in the Star Wars and Winterfest Events
Players only have around a week or so likely left before the lightsabers are shut off, stored away and the TIE fighter crashes are cleaned up. As such, we highly recommend that all players get in as much time as they possibly can before the entire event ends soon.
There are still a bunch of challenges themed around the event that players can complete from capturing the TIE fighter crash sites to using the First Order Stormtrooper blaster rifle and much more. You can even use the lightsabers to block bullets as the fictional Jedi and Sith do.
The Fortnite Star Wars end date coincides with the relative end of the Winterfest event happening right now. But there are a lot of reasons to check out the battle royale game for the next week. The holiday event is also a rewarding occasion with its own features.
There are daily challenges, rewards and goodies that players can collect throughout the holiday event. There are even vaulted weapons that are making a return in the game for a short time, along with game modes that we haven’t seen in awhile, like Wick’s Bounty, a returning collaboration game mode.
Both the Fortnite Star Wars collaboration and the Winterfest will end around the same time on January 7. There are just a few more days to enjoy everything offered in the two events, so be sure to get in as much time as possible as head into the new year and decade.
