Epic Games has revealed that it’s finally time for the Fortnite season 9 recap video extravaganza. Players look forward every new season to the recap video of the previous season since it is an excellent way to see all of the epic achievements and accomplishments that you reached during that particular season.

Epic Games started this new tradition a few seasons ago and then revamped it by making it a full on video with interesting tidbits about what you did in the previous season. But before we get into how to get this video, let’s begin by taking a look at what the Fortnite season 9 recap video is exactly.

What Is the Fortnite Season 9 Recap Video?

If you’re a newcomer to battle royale or simply haven’t checked out the recap videos in the past (or been unable to), this is exactly what it sounds like. Epic Games assembles a video that brings together various stats and accomplishments that you did during the previous season.

An example of what your recap could look like

If you’ve been wanting to know how well you did in the last season, learn more about yourself as a player, or just find out some interesting facts, the recap video from season nine is just for you. It’s worth noting that the video that you receive uses your account so it is personalized to you.

You aren’t going to be seeing any stats from other players around the world as the video is tailored to your character, specifically. This is a great way to learn about what you did right (or maybe wrong) in the previous season and use that information to emphasize your strengths in season 10.

Unfortunately, there is a catch with the recap videos. There are some requirements that you first must meet in order to see your video. If you don’t meet these requirements, there’s no way that you’ll be able to check out your personalized season nine recap video.

Fortnite Season 9 Recap Video Requirements

The Fortnite season 9 recap video requirements are simple enough but they could mean that you won’t be able to view yours if you don’t meet them. There are two main requirements to the recap video, one of which does require that you had potentially spent money in the last season.

That first requirement is that you must own the season nine battle pass. Not the season 10 battle pass going on right now and not the season eight either. You must have bought the season nine battle pass that was centered around the future as we woke up on the island five years later.

If you never bought the season nine battle pass, there is no way that you can enjoy your recap video. That’s because there is no way to buy that season pass anymore since the season has concluded. With that said, there is another requirement that you must meet as well and it’s possible to have the pass and not complete this one.

The other requirement for the season nine recap video is that you must have completed at least 20 of the weekly challenges. There were 70 weekly challenges last season (seven a week) so you had to complete roughly a third of them. Now, it doesn’t matter if those challenges were free ones or not.

So, as long as you completed at least 20 challenges last season, it doesn’t matter if they are a mix of free and battle pass-exclusive ones. What does matter, though, is that they are, specifically, the weekly challenges. This means that other challenges and missions won’t count for this.

For example: the 14 days of summer limited time event happened during season nine. Even if you completed all 14 of those challenges, they won’t count towards the weekly challenges goal, which sucks since that’s almost the entire requirement met right there. This also includes skin challenges and Fortbytes, too.

This also means that some players could have completed all 20 weekly challenges but not own the season nine battle pass. But as long as you have both requirements met (or at least think you do), you are able to check and see if your recap video is available for viewing right now.

How to Get Your Personal Fortnite Season 9 Recap Video

If you think or know that you meet the two main requirements, then you are ready to check out your personal Fortnite season 9 recap video. What you need to do is head to the recap video site right here. Note that this link is for the United States. When you get there, what you are going to want to do is log into your main account.

You are able to use your Xbox, PSN, or Nintendo Switch accounts as well if those are your main platforms for playing the game. Once you are logged in, the website will notify you if you are able to view your recap video. If you are, you can watch it there. In addition, you are able to share and save the video, too, so that you can keep it for future usage.

What the Fortnite Season 9 Recap Video Contains

The recap video for season nine will show you specific stats that are unique to your account and play style. The stats vary significantly, including stuff like how many times you would play with your friends online in matches, what your favorite vehicle is to use, and so on.

In addition, it includes more niche stuff like if you were able to make it in time to witness the epic final showdown battle between the giant mech and the Kaiju creature that fought each other. It was a once in a lifetime event so not all players got to see it. If you did, you can show that off to friends, too.

If you’re bummed out by the current season 10 experience, the season nine recap video is a great way to remember the good times and show off your accomplishments to your friends and on social media. Just be sure to take advantage of the situation now before you miss out on the video.

Can You Still Get the Fortnite Season 8 Recap Video?

Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that there is no way to get the season eight recap video unless you’ve already accessed it and downloaded it. This is because the video was only available for a limited time and going to the specific link for it now will direct you to the season nine recap video.

As such, this is a great time to remind players who do have season nine videos to make sure to download and share them so you can see them again in the future. This way, you won’t have to worry about accessing it only to lose it once the next recap video is released for season 10.
