Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin Challenges Guide: Where to Find Food Trucks, More

by in Fortnite | Jan, 9th 2020

If you were thinking that Fortnite battle royale wouldn’t have any new content for players to enjoy in the game until the start of season two, you would be wrong. Epic Games has surprised players by releasing some new challenges to complete today that we recommend you check out.

Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin Challenges Released After End of Weekly Challenges

The arrival of the new Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin challenges come after the end of the Winterfest and Star Wars events that concluded earlier this week. This is rather unexpected since we didn’t know what to expect from the battle royale game given its strange circumstances at this time.

At this moment, we are in the middle of the extension for season one for the game where we won’t get season two in chapter two until sometime in February. The problem with this is that the game was supposed to end season one and move into the next season in December.

This extension means that players will have to wait longer for the release of the new island map updates, new areas, changes, new weapons, vehicles, and so on for the game. This even includes a new battle pass so players have to continue using the same battle pass right now.

This extension was understandable since it meant that the staff would be able to enjoy the holidays and spend time with their friends and family. That is great but it also means that the events that were going on during the holidays were all that players had to go on.

Those two events were excellent, having the chance for players to collect special rewards that you can’t get anywhere else, play with lightsabers, do challenges for a limited time, and much more. But this came at the cost of the weekly challenges that are usually in a season.

The weekly challenges came to an end in December so players were concerned about what they would do for the next month or so. Now we know that there is likely going to be more challenges every single week that players will be able to complete like the new Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin challenges.

Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin Challenges List

The new Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin challenges are available right now for players to complete and they come with their own unique tasks, rewards, and more that you can enjoy. There are a total of 10 challenges that you can do in this new batch of tasks, many of which are actually pretty new.

You can find the full list of the 10 Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin challenges that are available this week below:

  • Visit three different food trucks
  • Earn three silver survivor medals
  • Get three SMG eliminations
  • Search seven chests at landmarks
  • Reach 100 of both health and shields in two different matches
  • Deal damage with a common, uncommon, and a rare weapon in a single match
  • Deal 2500 damage to enemy structures
  • Visit three different bus stops in a single match
  • Achieve five weapon specialist accolades by dealing damage with weapons
  • Be the first to catch a fish, land from the battle bus, or get an elimination

There are 10 challenges in this group, putting it on par with most of the other weekly challenges that we were able to do in the first season of chapter two. With so many rewards to get, we highly recommend that players do these challenges to pass the time until season two.

The catch is that a few of these challenges are actually pretty difficult to complete like the food trucks, bus stops, and other ones that aren’t explained super well in the game. That is where we come in with our detailed guide to all of the Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin challenges available.

Where to Find Food Trucks

The challenge guide begins with the very first challenge that players can do: visit three different food trucks. These locations are little food truck spots where players can find a certain landmark location there. There are three of them in the game that players must visit.

There are a couple of noteworthy points about these spots as well such as the fact that they must all be different food trucks that you go to. You can’t just visit the same location over and over in multiple matches as that won’t work for this particular challenge.

At the same time, though, you don’t have to visit all three of the food trucks in the same match so feel free to take your time with this and only visit one per match that you are in if you like. But they are somewhat close to one another so it is certainly possible to complete this in one go.

Starting from the top, you can find the first food truck in this challenge near the familiar named location Pleasant Park. North of Pleasant Park, you will find a group of houses and this particular food truck is located just to the south of them.

The first food truck is a Durr Burger one and all you need to do is get close enough to it for the game to notify you that you have completed part one of this challenge. For the next food truck in the game, we are going to need to head further south from there to near Salty Springs.

South of Salty Springs and right near the edge of the town, you will find a bridge that is leading towards the other named location of Weeping Woods. Near this bridge is the second food truck that you need for this challenge. Head on over to the Pizza Pit food truck to complete part two.

For the third and final food truck in the game, you need to head to the area near Lazy Lake that is still rather snowy at the time of writing this. This final food truck is located somewhat in between Lazy Lake and Frenzy Farm to the north of it.

You will find it below the river that runs from south of Frenzy Farm. Head to the nostalgic Fork Knife food truck here and get close enough for the game to recognize it and you will complete this challenge.

How to Get Survivor Medals and Eliminations

For the next challenge, you will need to earn three silver survivor medals in the game. These medals are a new type of progression content that you can earn in battle royale matches that was introduced with the start of chapter two, season one months ago.

For getting the silver survivor medal, it is important that you do the solo battle royale mode. How it works is that you get survivor medals for surviving for a certain period of time in the game. It isn’t related to time, though, but it has to do with making it to the top number of players.

Whereas the bronze survivor medal unlocks when you get to the top 50 players in a solo match, you will have to make it further than that if you are wanting to get the silver one. You will need to get into the top 25 players in a solo match if you want to earn the silver medal in the match.

However, the challenge doesn’t end when you do this. You will need to earn this medal three separate times in three different matches in order to complete the challenge. If you have a hard time surviving, simply head to the edge of the new circle and be sure to stay away from popular named locations.

The third challenge in the Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin challenges requires you to get three SMG eliminations. This is a pretty standard and straightforward challenge that we have seen before. You need to find an SMG weapon and then take out three players with it.

This can be in separate matches so players who aren’t the best at getting kills can just aim for one SMG elimination per match and you will be good to go. The best way to get them easily is to head to popular areas at the start of a match, grab an SMG, and take out the weaker or unarmed players first.

The next challenge requires you to search through seven chests at landmark locations on the map. Before you do this, it is worth noting that these are landmarks and not named locations. These are important spots that don’t necessarily show up on the main map for the game.

In the case of the food trucks from the previous challenge, those count as some of the landmarks. You will know a landmark by if it shows up on the screen the name of the location when you arrive there. What you need to do is search seven chests at these landmark locations.

These locations can be throughout as many matches as you need so be sure to take your time and you can head to the same landmarks if you want if they work best for you.

How to Get Full Shields and Deal Damage

For the next challenge, you need to reach 100 of both health and shields in two different matches. This is an easy enough challenge that many players already do in most matches anyways so you may not even have to worry about completing this one as it will happen naturally.

Basically, you have to get full health and shields at the same time in two different matches; that’s all. You start out each match with full health in the game so you just need to get full shields before you lose health. This is done by consuming shield potions and the like.

If you are having a hard time finding shield potions, then all you need to do is head to the Slurpy Swamp area where the radiated river here will allow you to gradually regain shields while you are standing in it. Get full health and shields in two matches, and you will be good to go.

Next up is the challenge that requires you to deal damage with a common, uncommon, and a rare weapon in a single match. This can be a challenging task but the benefit is that you don’t have to do this with eliminations; just dealing some damage of any amount to other players.

The best way to do this is find the three different types of weapons. The common and uncommon are easy enough to find but the rare might require you to search through some chests to find it. Then find some players and just switch between all three, dealing some damage to them to complete this.

Speaking of dealing damage, the next challenge is all about dealing 2500 damage to enemy structures. That is a ton of damage but it is made simpler by the fact that it is only enemy structures like forts, buildings, walls, and so on.

2500 damage is a lot but you can take your time with this so just be sure to deal as much damage to enemy buildings as you can throughout your matches until you reach this milestone. Explosives like rocket launchers and the like can really help with doing this.

Where to Visit Bus Stops and Get Accolades

One of the other challenging tasks in the Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin challenges is to visit three different bus stops in a single match. There are quite a lot of bus stops that you can find on the map but the hard part of this is that you have to get all three in one match.

You can’t just visit a single bus stop in one match and then do the next one in the following match. You have to get all three of them in the same match and they must be different ones. To help with this, it is best that you do it in a mode where you have the most time and respawns.

In this case, you are better off doing the Team Rumble game mode where you have respawns and more time to look for the bus stops. Though there are a lot of bus stops on the island, there is one spot on the island where you can find a good number of bus stops near each other.

This location is found in the sort of northwestern corner of the map. It is all centered around the Sweaty Sands, Salty Springs, Craggy Cliffs, and Pleasant Park areas. You can find one just south of Pleasant Park on the main road that leads out of the town. All you need to do when you find one is get close enough to see the game notify you that you completed the first part.

There is another one that you can find just north of Salty Springs. It is on the northern side of the named location near the road that leads north out of the town. Then there is another one on the eastern side of Sweaty Sands that leads east out of the town.

Those three will take care of your challenge but if you need another one for whatever reason, you can head east of Pleasant Park. East of the big river there is a main road that intersects with the other roads. Near here, you will find another bus stop that you can visit.

For the next challenge, you need to get more medals but this time, the weapon specialist accolades. You need to get five different ones by dealing damage with five weapons. To get one of these, you simply need to deal enough damage with a weapon to get an accolade.

Players have noted that it takes around the full health or shields of another player or around a normal elimination to get one of these accolades. You need to get five of them so be sure to at least get one per match and you should have this done in around five matches or so.

For the final challenge in the list, you need to be the first to catch a fish, land from the battle bus, or get an elimination in the match. You don’t have to do all of them; you just need to do one of them. In our opinion, the easiest of these is just landing from the battle bus but you can do the others if you want.

When you start the match, prepare yourself for when the battle bus opens up and lets you jump out. As soon as you have the option, press the button to jump out of the bus and zoom straight for the ground. If you aren’t able to land first – which you should – simply do one of the other two options or try again in another match.

Fortnite Remedy vs Toxin Challenges Rewards

Unfortunately, all of the challenges this week will give you 52,000 experience each for completing them. This is great for those players who haven’t reached tier 100 in the current pass. But even if you have, it is worth doing because completing nine of them will grant you the purple style for the Remedy vs Toxin skin in the game.
