Fortnite Patch V8.50 will give you the urge to smash things just like the Incredible Hulk. That’s right, this patch is Avengers themed, and there’s a new LTM called Endgame that will give you an opportunity to defeat the almighty Thanos! All things considered, it’s appropriate this patch includes the number 50, given Thanos wiped out 50% of the population with his famous snap…umm yeah, I’ll stop this nerd rant now. Anyway, lets take a closer look at Fortnite Patch V8.50 and this new LTM based on Avengers: Endgame (in theaters in April 26).

New Limited Time Mode

Endgame

• This LTM features a team of heroes that must defeat Thanos and his Chitauri minions before they claim all six of the Infinity Stones.
• Both teams will continually respawn until one side completes their mission.
• The first side is the Hero team. The Hero team will respawn when eliminated until the enemy team finds the six Infinity Stones.
• The Hero characters start with a treasure map that gives the location to the Mythic Avengers item.
• There will be other Avengers items available in chests throughout the map.
• The goal of the Hero team is to defeat Thanos and his Chitauri minions.
• The goal of Team Thanos (features Thanos and his Chitauri minions) is to find all the Infinity Stones and then eliminate the surviving members of the Hero team.
• The Chitauri characters have a laser rifle, an anti-structure grenade ability, and a jetpack that lets them jump high for a brief period.
• The first Chitauri to capture an infinity stone will transform into Thanos.
• Thanos’ ablilites: A super punch, a devastating beam blast, and a powerful jumping smash attack.
• Each time Thanos captures an Infinity Stone, his abilities will get even stronger (and his Chitauri minions gain health). Here’s what each Infinity Stone does:
• Reality Stone (Red) – Health and Shields are doubled from 1000 to 2000.
• Soul Stone (Orange) – Siphon triggered (will give Thanos shields only)
• Mind Stone (Yellow) – His jump height is doubled.
• Space Stone (Blue) – His Ground Pound AOE size is tripled and the damage is increased.
• Time Stone (Green) – A big knockback is added to each hit and the damaged is increased.
• Power Stone (Purple) – Laser damage is increased.
• If the Hero team eliminates Thanos from the match, a different Chitauri will transform into Thanos after a short wait (this doesn’t apply if Thanos is the last surviving member).

This LTM should be a lot of fun for both teams.

If you’re on the Hero squad, you’ll need to find the Avengers-themed weapons (like Captain America’s shield and Thor’s hammer) to defeat Thanos and his Chitauri army.

As Team Thanos, there are two missions that must be completed to win: find all the infinity stones and then wipe out the Hero squad. So, you must do a little more as the villains to win (since it will take some time to find all the Infinity Stones), but at least you get to play as Thanos! This big purple juggernaut has many powerful abilities (he basically his own Falcon Punch), and he gets even stronger if you possess some Infinity Stones.

The Road To The Fortnite World Cup

Week 3 of the Fortnite World Cup Online Open will run from April 27-28.

Here’s the official Fortnite World Cup website where you can read about the rules and other details about this upcoming major Fortnite tournament.

The Fortnite World Cup finals will be hosted in New York City from July 26 – 28 and there’s going to be a $30 million prize pool available to all its contestants.

Other Changes

Fortnite Patch V8.50 also includes some cool new content for Creative and Save The World fans.

Creative received new game settings, island portals, and prefabs.

Save The World got a new hero known as Cottontail Eagle Eye, and the Bowler launcher has returned.
