How to Watch the Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Dillon Francis Concert

Epic Games isn’t done surprising players just yet. There is more on the way for Fortnite players in the coming weeks as we eagerly await the launch of season three of chapter two. In the meantime, yet another concert is happening with the Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, and Dillon Francis event.

Fortnite Travis Scott Event Was Just the Beginning

In a surprising twist of events, yes, another live concert event is happening in Fortnite not even a month after the Travis Scott one. That event was unbelievable with setpieces and visuals that were shocking to regular players and new fans alike.

But the craziest part is that the Travis Scott live event was just the beginning. If for some reason you missed out on that live concert as it happened or just want another dose of energizing excitement in Fortnite, you will be happy to know that another live concert event is going to happen.

This one is going to be quite different from the Travis Scott event, so players should keep their expectations in check. That said, it is shaping up to be a one-of-a-kind event that will likely keep players intrigued and logging into the game for this upcoming weekend.

New Event Arrives as Fortnite Reaches New Milestones

The Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, and Dillon Francis concert arrives as the battle royale game reaches some record-breaking numbers. Whether or not this celebration is in honor of the new numbers of the game is up in the air, they did happen last month.

April was one of the biggest months ever for Fortnite battle royale and it was likely in large part due to the exciting things that happened then. Deadpool, Travis Scott, and more were just part of what happened last month and were major events that much of the community turned out for.

According to Epic Games’ latest details regarding the player count, Fortnite has now reached more than 350 million registered players. This is an insane number of players as the game is now more than a third of the way to a billion players around the world having played its title.

More players than the population of the United States and many other countries around the world have picked up the game on the various platforms from console to PC to mobile devices. That is insane and something that very few games have come even close to accomplishing.

But the crazy new stats for Fortnite don’t end there. Epic Games also recently revealed on Twitter that, in April alone, players spent more than 3.2 billion hours altogether in the battle royale game. Last month, players spent an average of nine hours or so each in the title.

Now, that is nine hours across the whole month of April, so only a couple of hours a week on average, but that is still rather impressive considering the massive number of registered players that exist now and that, likely, not all of them logged in in April, so other players spent way more time than that.

With those amazing stats now in place, Fortnite is hosting the Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, and Dillon Francis event that will likely bring in more new players and usher in more time that the currently existing users will spend in the battle royale title.

How This Event Differs From the Travis Scott One

Interestingly enough, the Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, and Dillon Francis event will differ greatly from the Travis Scott one that happened in April. They are both events that revolve around live concert showings, but their implementations are going to happen differently.

Instead of just having a unique Travis Scott event for a limited time only, for players to tune into, the upcoming trio of performers will have their event more traditionally. As such, we do recommend that you keep your expectations down on the level of craziness and style that it will have.

This is because the entire live concert event will happen within the confines of the new Party Royale game mode in Fortnite. This recently released mode is another way of tying players over until the release of season three and it is a great place for the event to happen as well.

Another change is that this event features three performers rather than just the one like the Travis Scott concert. This means that you will have a more traditional set up that will, in a way, be like the digital Coachella event we have always wanted.

What is great about this whole thing, though, is that this likely means that the event will last much longer than the previous live concert, so players will have more time to get in there and have fun with their friends. This is a social experiment event, so you’re encouraged to bring your friends along for the ride to Party Royale.

What Is Party Royale?

For those who don’t know, Party Royale is the latest game mode to release for Fortnite and it looks like it might be a permanent addition. Like Creative mode and others, this is one mode where you don’t necessarily have to compete against other players and take them out.

Instead, it is all about having fun with friends and just hanging out with your pals in a fun setting. In this case, you will be enjoying the Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, and Dillon Francis live concert event while it happens in the middle of the new game mode.

But normally, Party Royale is a violence-free zone where you head to a brand new island and can hang out with other players, both known and unknown, without fear of getting eliminated by them or even the storm. There is no required building, looting, fighting, or any of that in this mode.

If you want to just have fun and enjoy the environment of Fortnite with other players with no stress involved, this is the place to go. It is the perfect addition to the game during the crazy times that we are living in around the world right now.

So, what do you do in Party Royale? Well, players can explore the new island map and visit the various areas that it has to offer. Some of these locations include minigames and other activities that you can enjoy like skydiving courses, boat races, and using harmless items like the paint launcher.

Of course, this also means that you can watch the live concert event as it happens here, too. Here’s how to do it.

How to Watch the Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Dillon Francis Concert

If you are interested in checking out the Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, and Dillon Francis live event for yourself, you are going to want to log into Fortnite first and foremost as this is the only place to experience it live as it happens outside of various streamers and the like.

The best part about this is that you can pick whatever modern platform you want. If you like to play on consoles like PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch, you can do that and not miss a thing. If you want to head on your computer or Mac, you can do that as well.

And better yet, if you are on the go or do not have access to a console or TV currently, you can just jump on your Android or iOS mobile device and play it there over WiFi or 4G connection, the latter of which might not be the best but will still work enough to enjoy some of the event.

The new live event concert will work on any of the existing Fortnite platforms because the Party Royale mode already exists there. When you head into the game when it comes time for the event, simply head to the main battle royale lobby where you see your character.

Make sure to grab your favorite skin and cosmetics so that you are ready for all of the action. When you are ready for the event to start, check the game mode selection in the bottom right corner of the battle royale lobby and change your game mode to Party Royale.

So long as you select this game and queue up right around the time of the party’s start, you will be able to jump in and experience all of the awesomeness as it happens live within the game itself. Of course, you need to be there on time and at the right time for this to happen.

Fortnite Party Royale Concert Showtimes

Knowing how to get into the Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, and Dillon Francis event is just half the experience as you need to know the time of the concert as well. It will begin promptly at 6 p.m. PT on Friday, May 8, 2020, which happens to be tomorrow if you are reading this.

It is similar to when the Travis Scott event happened in the game, but this one will likely last much longer. As such, we recommend that you show up into the game at least five minutes early to ensure that you are there in time for the event.

With live events like these where a lot of players are logging in at the same time, there are a lot of things that can go wrong. There can be connection issues, problems with getting into a match fast enough, and so on that could down the mood on this exciting event.

Show up a little early to avoid these issues or have enough time to get through them and still show up for the event. Also, make sure that your game is up to date right now. If you haven’t played in a few weeks, chances are that you have a download or two to get through.

Make sure your game is up to date today or hours before the event starts tomorrow, so that you do not run into trouble with that and miss out on much of the event as it happens. When you show up, jump into a match of Party Royale right around the start time of 6 p.m. (9 p.m. ET) and enjoy the show.

The best part is that you don’t even have to stand around and watch the performances live if you don’t want to. If you and your friends get bored of the concert and want to just hang around the island, you can still do that and play the minigames and events while the concert is happening at the same time.

The concert will have three parts to it with each of the three main performers showcasing their music and DJ styles back to back on the main stage of the Party Royale island. As such, it will likely last for at least an hour or so, so you have plenty of time to hang out with your friends and have fun, or make some new friends among the many strangers in the match.

If for some reason, you are unable to show up at that time, you won’t have to miss out on the event entirely. We get that the event is happening at a time that is rather late for those in Europe and other parts of the world, so thankfully, there is going to be a second showing as well.

The second showing will happen on Saturday, May 9 at 11 a.m. PT (2 p.m. ET) so that players who are in Europe and other regions will have a better chance of seeing it happen live and participating.

Fortnite Party Royale Concert Reward

Speaking of participating, just for showing up for the Fortnite Party Royale Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, and Dillon Francis event, you will get a special reward. You not only get a show, but you get rewarded for being there and it is one of our favorite cosmetic items of all time.

Players who show up in Party Royale this weekend will receive the exclusive Neon Wings back bling item for free without having to spend anything on them. These wings go on your back and glow with special colors. The tease is that they will also change colors based on performances like the one this weekend.

Fortunately, if you are unable to show up for either showing of the concert, you can still earn the wings. All you need to do is just show up to the Party Royale mode once this weekend from 3 p.m. PT on May 8 through Monday, May 11 at 7 a.m. PT and you will get them for your locker. But if you can make it to the event live, grab the wings ahead of time so you can use them to their full effect at the concert.
