Epic Games has revealed the upcoming Fortnite Galactus event’s first details and everything that players need to know about it. The Fortnite Galactus event start date and time have been announced and are coming right at the current season’s tail end.

Fortnite Galactus Event Start Date and Time Announced

Epic Games revealed the new details in a blog post, noting that the Fortnite Galactus event start date will happen on Tuesday, Dec. 1. This will be the grand finale of the fourth season of chapter two, ending the Marvel-themed season on a massive bang.

The Fortnite Galactus event start date will happen during the middle of the day for those of us in the United States at 1 p.m. PT (4 p.m. ET). For the rest of the world, the time will be different, so we highly recommend that you check your local time zone and see what time is for you.

The Fortnite Galactus event start date is rapidly approaching, with only about a week to go in this current season. The season will have this Galactus live event to take the season out and, while details are scarce for it at this time, we do know some more about what will happen.

Epic noted in the announcement that Galactus is approaching the island and fate of all reality lies in the balance. The Nexus War will finally come to its grand conclusion with the “ultimate fight against Galactus” with the live event when it happens.

What This Event Could Be

Though we don’t know too much about what will happen when this event goes live, it tells us some details. It looks like players will be joining a massive fight against the massive destroyer of worlds to stop him from destroying all life and reality as we know it.

Already, this paints this new live event for the end of Season 4 as potentially one of the unique ones that we have ever seen. For the most part, most live events are things that you show up to, sit back, and enjoy the show as you have little interaction that you need to do during it.

But this event looks to be changing that formula and possibly making it one you are actively involved in. We imagine that this will be a possibly massive boss fight where you and possibly millions of other players from around the world are battling it out against him together online.

We could see a raid battle of sorts where you see the health bar for the villainous destroyer. It goes down with all of the players from around the world gathering together to take him down. You will probably be able to use all sorts of items and weapons to do so.

This Event Will Happen Only Once

But we doubt that this is all there is to the Galactus event at the end of the season. There will likely be some cutscene at the beginning of the fight that will show the character joining it. Maybe every player in the event will receive powers or a special costume to fight with.

After the fight, of course, we imagine a scene that will end this current Season 4 and start the fifth season. We know very little about the fifth season, even though it starts in about a week or so.

It could continue the Marvel theme, but there is also the chance that it could be a crossover with another property like DC Comics or even return to the normal Fortnite lore. Regardless of what the new season will be like, you can be among the first to check it out and be part of this one-time-only event.

The Fortnite Galactus event start date is the only time you will be able to participate in this event. If you miss out on it, you will only have the option of watching on-demand videos of what all happened on various YouTube and Twitch channels.

How to Prepare for the New Live Event

To make sure you are good to go and don’t miss out on this event, here are some tips that you should keep in mind. For one, you need to make sure that you have downloaded the 14.60 update for the game. That means that older versions of the game will not be able to enjoy this live event.

You also need to make sure to be there as early as possible so that you don’t miss out on everything that will happen. Epic has taken more measures to ensure that more people can attend the live event, but you should still be there plenty early.

Epic recommends that you show up and log into Fortnite at least one hour before the Fortnite Galactus event start date and time. That is to ensure that you are already in the game and have no trouble logging in when the playlist for the event starts.

The special event playlist will open up about 30 minutes before the event itself. You will want to be one of the first to join it, so you don’t miss out. In past events, the playlist capped out long before the event started, so you do not want to be late at all when it opens.

If you are recording or want to hang out with friends while it happens, be sure to take care of all of that early enough on the day of. The new Houseparty integration lets you use video chat to see each other’s faces in-game and talk while the event happens live.
