Epic Games is offering yet another DC Comics-focused crossover and tournament soon in Fortnite battle royale. The Fortnite Deathstroke Zero skin and cup have been announced, revealing the next superpowered character joining the game.

Fortnite Deathstroke Zero Skin Announced

We currently have two DC Comics characters who have been released for Fortnite in Season 6 with Raven originally and now Beast Boy with his recent cup, and they will soon be joined by the iconic villain Deathstroke. The long-running villain and rival to the Teen Titans group will be making his debut soon.

In just a few more days, players will have the chance to unlock the Fortnite Deathstroke Zero skin specially or pay money for it, depending on what they prefer and can do. This particular crossover will follow the same general pattern that Beast Boy and others set before him.

How it works is that there are two main ways to get the Fortnite Deathstroke Zero skin. One of them does not even require you to spend any money or V-Bucks in the game to make it happen. It has to do with the latest superpowered cup that will begin in the game later this week.

The Fortnite Deathstroke Zero tournament has been announced and will be a standard one that almost everyone in the battle royale title will be allowed to participate in. The tournament is not just there to show off your skills but possibly earn some great rewards in the process.

Details About the Deathstroke Cup

The Fortnite Deathstroke Zero Cup will begin on Thursday, May 27, around the world and feature a competitive event where you will have the chance to unlock the new DC Comics crossover skin. But the actual tournament itself will be slightly different from what we’ve had before.

In the past, most of the superhero cups focused around the duos style of battle royale. This time around, Epic Games is listening to fans who are not duos players and offering this one as a solo tournament only. Deathstroke is not exactly the most friendly character in the DC universe, so it makes sense that you will have to battle it out solo to get him.

Other than the change to the Fortnite Deathstroke Zero Cup solo format, the tournament is largely similar to the past ones in terms of how it determines who wins prizes. Players will be able to participate in the event during a strict three-hour window of time available.

The time frame will vary depending on the region and server that you are on, so please be sure to check in the Compete tab of the main battle royale lobby in Fortnite for your specific time. Then, show up when the tournament is available and queue up for matches under the tournament’s mode.

How to Get Rewards in the Tournament

You are allowed up to 10 matches in the tournament, and you will gain points depending on how well you do in each of them. Ten matches in three hours are possible, but it can be a tight window if you are doing quite well in each of them, so you must show up early.

You will earn points for various tasks like eliminating other players in the match and scoring a high placement (or even winning!) the battle royale match in the end. Those points will add up for you and give you the chance to be at the top of the entire leaderboard for your region.

Only a select number of the top players from each of the regions will win the Fortnite Deathstroke Zero skin for free in the tournament, so it is recommended that you make all 10 of the matches count. But even if you do not do well enough to earn the Deathstroke skin, there is another item that you can potentially get.

If you can get at least eight points in the event, you are guaranteed to get the Slade Watching spray item. But to be in the Fortnite Deathstroke Zero Cup, you need to make sure that you fulfill both of the requirements: the first being an account level of 30 or higher and the other being that you have two-factor authentication enabled on your account.

Players Can Also Pick Up the Deathstroke Skin Later in the Item Shop

If you do not meet those requirements or do not get the new Deathstroke skin in the event, you can still pick up this item in the future from the item shop per usual. The Fortnite Deathstroke Zero skin bundle will be available starting next week on June 1, with the skin and other items.

Along with the special skin, the bundle will also come with the signature katanas that Deathstroke wields in battle. You will be able to dual wield those as a pickaxe item or be able to put them on your back, too, as a back bling for use that way, instead.

Separate from that Fortnite Deathstroke Zero bundle, there is going to be a Deathstroke Destroyer glider that you will be able to purchase in the item shop as well.

Fortunately, you do not have to get the glider that way, as you could also get it via a code from the fourth issue of the Batman and Fortnite Zero Point crossover comic that will be releasing the same day on June 1. Given the crossovers that have already happened with Fortnite and DC, it is unlikely that this is the last tournament or skin we will see soon.
