How to Complete Fortnite Chapter 2 Week 7 Dive Challenges
Epic Games just released ssome new Fortnite battle royale challenges to complete. This week, we see the Fortnite Week 7 challenges arrive in the game.
Epic Games Releases Fortnite Week 7 Dive Challenges List
Now that we are at the Week 7 mark in the battle royale season, we are nearing the end of the current weeks of challenges for this Season 1 battle pass. Though the season is set to go on for a couple more months until February of next year, we have no idea how it will work exactly.
As such, it is great that players at least have some extra time that is allotted to them for completing challenges like these Week 7 ones. Like in previous weekly challenges this season, there is a theme that ties together the tasks that players must complete this week.
The Fortnite Week 7 Dive challenges are here now and, as the name implies, the challenges this week have a lot to do with water. Oddly enough, though, there isn’t much that has to do with, specifically, diving underwater. You can find the full list of the Fortnite Week 7 Dive challenges below:
- Deal 200 damage to descending supply drops
- Get three eliminations at Hydro 16 or Holly Hedges
- Search for a supply drop within 10 seconds of it landing three times
- Complete the swimming time trials at Lazy Lake and east of Hydro 16
- Get three eliminations without aiming down the sights
- Pull up an item, pull an opponent, and catch a fish using a harpoon gun
- Deal any damage to an opponent within 30 seconds of using a glider
- Search two chests within 30 seconds of each other three times
- Harvest 300 wood within 60 seconds after landing from the battle bus in a single match
- Deal any damage with two different weapons within 30 seconds of each other
- Search for the Fortnite hidden E letter in the Dive loading screen
As always this season, these 11 challenges are all of the ones that players can complete for this week’s Fortnite Week 7 Dive challenges. Without further ado, let’s go ahead and dive right in ourselves and take a look at all of these challenges and how to complete them.
How to Find the Fortnite Hydro 16 Location and Deal Damage
The first challenge requires you to deal at least 200 damage to any falling supply drops. Supply drops are the crates you see falling from the sky and they are attached to umbrellas so that they are fairly slow at descending.
One trick that you can do to speed up the process of making the supply drop fall is by shooting at it while it is in the sky. In the case of this challenge, deal a total of 200 damage to falling supply drops. It completes the challenge and get you some goodies faster.
It isn’t likely to get all 200 damage with a single supply drop so this is something that you may need to do multiple times. Thankfully, you can take your time with this challenge and do it in as many matches as you need to.
For the next challenge, get three eliminations at Hydro 16 or Holly Hedges. The latter is a named area that you likely know well but you might not have heard of Hydro 16. This is because it is a landmark location rather than a named area on the map.
You could focus on getting eliminations at Holly Hedges since it is easier to find that location. You can find Hydro 16 between Slurpy Swamp and Misty Meadows. It is east of the former and west of the latter.
Since it less known, you might be better off getting your eliminations at Holly Hedges even though this challenge should make a lot more players show up at Hydro 16.
Where to Find a Supply Drop and Do the Swimming Trials
For the next challenge, you must deal with supply drops again but in a different way. For this part, search through a supply drop no more than 10 seconds after it has landed on the ground. It actually pairs perfectly with the previous supply drop challenge.
You will want to shoot the supply drops and make them fall down so this part is a natural progression from that challenge. You have already knocked down the supply drop so it only makes sense to find it once it has fallen and pick up the supplies.
You need to go the location where it is falling and grab the supply drop there before 10 seconds have passed. Make sure to do these three times. It is likely you’ll need around three supply drops anyways for the other challenge, so it works well together.
Next up, we have another challenge that has to do with the Hydro 16 landmark location. This time, you need to complete two swimming time trials at both Lazy Lake and a spot east of Hydro 16. You need to do both for this challenge.
You might recognize the time trials challenge if you are a battle royale veteran but this one is a twist on the usual formula. Instead of racing a vehicle, you need to swim. The first location that you need to head to is found right near Lazy Lake.
Since this is a water-themed challenge, you need to head to some water. Go to the small lake that is west of Lazy Lake. This isn’t the huge lake south of it but the small one that is just north of the waterfall. Look for a time clock symbol there.
You can activate it to make the time trial start. There will be circles to swim through. Swimming through all of them before the time runs out finishes the trial. Alternatively, you can do this challenge in a boat, which is recommended since it is much faster.
As for the second location, head near Hydro 16 just like for the eliminations challenge. Again, this is found in between Slurpy Swamp and Misty Meadows but head east of it. You will want this time trial on the water’s edge just northwest of the edge of Misty Meadows.
Interact with the clock symbol to start it and either swim or use a motorboat to finish this challenge.
How to Get Eliminations and Use the Harpoon Gun

For our fifth challenge, you need to get three eliminations without aiming down the sights. This is a super specific eliminations challenge where you are not allowed to look down the sights where you zoom in on the enemy.
This is something you might not already be doing but, at least for this challenge, don’t be tempted to zoom in. This isn’t too hard of a challenge so long as you aren’t using something like a sniper rifle. Try to get shotgun kills as you must be close anyways.
This next challenge is one of the most important ones, at least in terms of the theme. This challenge is a harpoon gun-centric one where you must get a harpoon gun and do three activities with it. First and foremost, you need a harpoon gun in your inventory.
Get a harpoon gun by checking out chests and other locations at named locations near large bodies of water. These include places like Lazy Links, Sweaty Sands, Dirty Docks, and more. Once you have one, you possibly could finish this whole challenge in one go.
You need to pull up an item first. This can be done by heading to any major water like a river on the map and using it like you are fishing but you are looking for an item other than a fish. You will also want to use it to catch a fish, though, so that is not a problem.
The final thing you need to do is throw the harpoon gun at one of your opponents. This is best to do when you have an opponent who is in the water and you should throw it at them.
How to Deal Damage and Search for Chests
Deal any amount of damage to an opponent within 30 seconds of using a glider. Note that you just must damage them and not actually eliminate them. Your best bet is to land right in front of someone who is also landing at the start of a match.
Hit them with your pickaxe before the 30 seconds is up and you will complete this. You can try to get a weapon and do it that way, but it could take much longer. You also have the option of doing this in Team Rumble where you can use your glider throughout the match.
For the next challenge, search two chests within 30 seconds of each other three times. The best way to handle this challenge is to land at a named location that isn’t too popular and take advantage of the free chests available.
The recommended places are Weeping Woods, Dirty Docks, Craggy Cliffs and Holly Hedges. But the catch is that you must do these three times so you might have to do this same thing in three separate matches.
How to Harvest Wood and Deal More Damage
Speaking of landing at the beginning of a match, this next challenge requires you to harvest 300 wood materials within 60 seconds of landing from the battle bus in a single match. It may seem like a lot, especially within the span of a single minute.
Immediately land in a woodsy area like Weeping Woods. Land near a section of trees and start mashing away at the trees. So long as each one gives you around 50 or so materials. Keep this up with six or so trees and you will complete this.
Timing seems to be a heavy theme as the penultimate challenge requires you to act fast. Deal damage with two different weapons within 30 seconds of each other. For this challenge, you need two weapons in your inventory which is easy to do.
Then you need to find any enemy and attack them with one weapon then switch to the other one and attack them with that one. You don’t have to be skilled or even defeat the enemy; you just need to be fast enough to attack them with both weapons before they run away or get you.
Where to Find the Fortnite Hidden E Letter
For the final challenge this week, you need to find the Fortnite hidden E letter on the map. If you haven’t been keeping up this season with the weekly challenges, there is a string of challenges to complete in the form of finding hidden letters that spell out the name of the game.
This week is the eighth and final letter to find. This completes the eight-part challenge series and grants you a special reward. But to find it, you must have the Dive loading screen.
You can get this loading screen by completing a large portion of the challenges this week. The Fortnite hidden E letter is the easiest to find out of all the letters thus far. Head to the big dam that is east of Slurpy Swamp and southeast of Weeping Woods.
On the dam, there is a big lamp that is over the dam. Just like in the loading screen, you will find the Fortnite hidden E letter atop the lamp there. Build yourself a little ramp up to the E letter and interact with it to complete this challenge.
Fortnite Week 7 Dive Challenges Rewards
The rewards that you can get for doing all these challenges are fairly like in previous weeks. You will get 52,000 experience for each of the challenges that you complete for a grand total of 572,000 experience with all the challenges.
That isn’t all. You have some extra goodies that you can get as well. For completing around eight of the challenges, you will receive the Dive loading screen which is necessary for the Fortnite hidden E letter challenge. But completing that letter challenge as well as the others grants you the secret Sonara skin for your account.
