Final Fantasy 7 Remake is Coming Next Week to PC

by in General | Dec, 10th 2021

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is incredibly fun, and it’s finally coming to PC next week! This was revealed during The Game Awards last night, with this trailer. However, sorry Steam fans, it’s coming to the Epic Games Store. The important thing is that PC users will get access to the incredible story of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, including the Intergrade DLC. It’s beautiful and it’s fun. Here’s what you need to know.

Better Later Than Never

We were assuming that April 2021 would be the big moment for PC since it was a year after Final Fantasy 7 Remake launched. Unfortunately, that was not the case. What we did get was FF7 Remake Intergrade for Playstation 5. That allowed us, PS5 users, to play through a short, challenging DLC adventure starring everyone’s favorite ninja, Yuffie Kisaragi. The final fight of it was incredible. Time went on, and we still had no idea what was going to go down. The PC release is Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, which we talked about. It includes the Yuffie DLC. For those that missed out on Final Fantasy 7 EPISODE INTERmission:

“In FF7R EPISODE INTERmission, play as ninja Yuffie Kisaragi as she infiltrates the shadowy Shinra corporation to steal a powerful materia and restore glory to her homeland. Play alongside new characters and enjoy an expanded gameplay experience featuring multiple new combat and gameplay additions. This adventure brings new perspective to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake story that cannot be missed.”

Fast forward to The Game Awards, and we finally have a release date for Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PC. On December 16th, 2021, it launches on the Epic Games Store – not on Steam. Not for now, anyway. It’s likely that Epic Games procured an exclusivity timer for PC users. There will be people that will no doubt be upset – all their other Final Fantasy games are likely on Steam. As of this writing, the Epic Games Store slot has not opened for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but it’s sure to come up soon enough.

We’re still waiting on news about Final Fantasy 7 Episode 2, but for now, this is something to tide the fans over. Not everyone plays on a console after all. In particular, not everyone has been fortunate enough to have a Playstation 5. At least Final Fantasy 7 Remake won’t be alone on Epic’s PC store. That’s where the Kingdom Hearts games launched too.
