EA Sports Reveals FIFA Ultimate Scream Cards
The FIFA ultimate scream cards were revealed Thursday via the official EA Sports FIFA account on Twitter. This yearly promotion features a special team of 21 cards with temporary stat boosts. The upgraded FUT card packs launch today at 1 p.m. ET.

The 21 players featured in the FIFA 19 ultimate scream cards include Sergio Busquets, Marco Verratti, Diego Costa, Pepe, Mario Mandžukić, Bas Dost, Mario Balotelli, Emil Forsberg, Xherdan Shaqiri, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Salomon Kalou, Javier Mascherano, Marouane Fellaini, Rafinha, Troy Deeney, Martín Cáceres, Guillermo Ochoa, Omar Abdulrahman, Ethan Ampadu, Tyrone Mings, and Jason Denayer.
Historically, scream cards boost around Halloween, full moons, and the end of the FUT year. The cards previously received an overall rating upgrade of one when not boosted. However, when the card increased, the players become monsters on the field.
The official announcement for FIFA Ultimate Scream cards suggests the format will be different from previous years. Every player’s overall rating boost increased by one. Additionally, every card increases two stats to 90. It is unclear if these cards will grant additional buffs.
Expect meta changes for FUT Champions. The buffs for Sergio Busquets will make him one of the best center defensive midfielders (CDM) in the game. Busquets’ scream card increases his pace from 43 to 90.
Other game changers include Mario Mandžukić and Bas Dost. Both players already have respectable stats, but a boost to 90 pace makes them potentially unstoppable.
The most intriguing card from the bench is Javier Mascherano. The Argentinian center defensive midfielder (CDM) is a monster with 90 pace, 90 shooting, 71 passing, 80 defending, and 77 physical. Keep an eye on Mascherano’s price. He has fantastic stats for a CDM, but a height of 5’9”. Plus, being in the Chinese Super League may also hurt his price.
It’s possible we’ll see packs in the FUT store, including the first lightning rounds. There’s also the possibility of unique squad builder challenges and weekly objectives during the ultimate scream cards promotion.
