FaZe Censor Calls Out Aches For Allegedly Throwing An Event
FaZe Censor has to be one of the most persistent people we’ve ever seen in esports.
The former pro, who hasn’t played on a team nor associated with FaZe since 2015, has been on a massive self-promotion campaign for most of the past month trying to get onto a CDL team for next year.
While his campaign has been somewhat successful at getting his name out there, he’s unlikely to find a spot on at least one team due in part to his continued drama with current pro and free-agent Aches.
Butting Heads with a Pro
Censor and Aches have been on bad terms for a while now, dating back to their shared time on FaZe Clan in 2014 and 2015.
Censor, who accused Aches on Hecz’s podcast last month of throwing the UMG event in Orlando in 2015, posted a longer video discussing the struggle he’s gone through over the last five years.
In it, he talks about how he isn’t slandering people or throwing people under the bus, and the struggles he faced with FaZe Clan, including his rise and fall with them.
The big point of it, however, was giving the captain role to Aches after Censor had done an event in the role. He claimed he knew he’d be removed from the squad once Aches was given the position.
For his part, Aches quickly took to Twitter claiming he didn’t ask for the captain position, and that FaZe offered him the position the night they won. He questioned why Censor continued to use the FaZe tag if he felt so betrayed by the team.
Censor has benefited immensely from keeping the tag attached to his name, with his brand exploding over the last couple of years. He continues to feel the same org wronged him that tag belongs to.
If Censor wants to find a new team, he’s going to have to leave the FaZe tag behind, or the org is going to have to kick him out first.
FaZe has yet to respond to the video, and Censor has yet to respond to Aches, though given how both parties have handled their social media lately, we expect to hear a statement soon.
We’ll keep you updated as the situation continues to develop.
