Everything You Need to Know About Call of Duty Mobile Season 4

Activision released the latest season for Call of Duty Mobile and it expands upon the game considerably. Expected changes in the fourth season include resets for ranked and the like, but also a few surprises along the way.

Call of Duty Mobile Season 4: Disavowed Is Here

Players can download the update for the fourth season of Call of Duty Mobile on Android and iOS mobile devices. This is one of the biggest seasons yet with some general changes to the overall structure of the season.

Instead of called Season 4, it has an official season title this time around. This is a far cry from the past few seasons all about numbers in their titles. Instead of seasons 3 and 4 like expected, each season has a unique name from now on.

Disavowed is the official name for the latest season. The March season of the game kicks off at the start of the new month and goes throughout the start of the spring season. While the name doesn’t give away too much info about the season, there’s still a lot to enjoy within it.

Call of Duty Mobile Season 4 Disavowed introduces all the expected changes like the new map and battle pass plus surprising announcements like the return of fan-favorite modes and the removal of others.

Without further ado, let’s go ahead and jump right in. Here is everything that you need to know about Call of Duty Mobile Season 4 Disavowed.

Cage Is the New Map in Season 4

When it comes to what’s new in this latest season, the biggest addition is the new map Cage. Players waited patiently for the long-rumored and leaked map because of its unique design.

Most of the maps in Call of Duty Mobile are built upon other maps from the previous Call of Duty games. As the highest quality mobile iteration of the series, it made sense at first to make use of the long-running franchise by repurposing its older games’ maps.

However, this means players don’t have a ton of new content to explore outside of maps like the battle royale one. Thankfully, Cage breaks this trend as one of the few mobile-exclusive maps designed specifically for this game.

As such, it makes a lot of sense for the game and uses the pace of each match well. Cage takes place on a construction site under development in the middle of an urban area. The symmetrical map features mirror experiences on both sides.

Three lanes make up the map with one on each side. A massive structure in the middle divides the map into two halves and provides the third lane. Beyond this, players can go through some minor vertical areas. It is a small but very dense location.

As such, the gameplay style of this new map is all about that classic fast-paced close-quarters action. You aren’t going to want to take things easy or slow in this map designed for constant movement. The exception to this is the few tactical advantage spots.

Though it is mainly useful for close-quarters combat, there is room for snipers and long-range players in some of the vertical vantage points. Most players must stay on the move since only a few camping spots are available.

Cage leaked weeks ago by content creators who showed off the map in action. We got a glimpse of the dense map then and players have waited for it ever since. It is finally here as part of the Call of Duty Mobile Season 4 Disavowed additions and you can play on it right now.

New Hive Operator Skill and Battle Pass

As with any new season, there is a new battle pass for players to unlock items with. Players can enjoy a free and premium version of the battle pass, allowing players to decide whether they want to shell out some in-game currency to earn several new cosmetic items.

The Disavowed battle pass is leaning heavily into the March St. Patrick’s Day theme with some of its offerings like the tier one premium character that you can unlock for purchasing it. Players who do so can get the popular Modern Warfare character Soap MacTavish as a skin.

When you purchase the premium version of the pass, you unlock that character, but it doesn’t end there. Players can unlock another main character for use in the online multiplayer matches. This one is unlocked a few tiers down the road and is an important one.

Urban Tracker is the second skin that players can unlock. It is notable for the first female Operator skin that players can get. It is unfortunate that it took this long for the game to get a premium female skin in the battle pass but better late than never.

Beyond the two Operator skins, there are plenty more cosmetic items to unlock throughout the season. Players can get the AK117 MacTavish skin at tier one alongside the actual Modern Warfare series legend.

At tier 10, players can get another weapon skin in the form of the HG40 Brambles variant. The bright and beautiful rainbow knife unlocked at tier 20. The next Brambles skin comes after that at tier 30. At tier 50, players can get the RUS-79U Viking skin.

If you don’t want the premium Season 4 battle pass, you can stick to the free version and still get rewards. One new content that players can unlock no matter what they have is the new Operator skill.

The latest skill to join the game is the Hive one previously introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. This former specialist weapon is a skill used both offensively and defensively. It works as a trap that players can use to take out enemies.

The Hive is a trap that releases a bee field of deadly pods when a player runs over them or near them. The Hive can take out enemy players camping. You can also use it to set up blockades when defending a point like in Domination.

Players can earn the new Hive skill by completing some various multiplayer objectives. These include logging into the game, playing matches, using unlocked Operator skills, scorestreaks to take out enemies, and getting normal kills.

The new skill in Call of Duty Mobile Season 4 Disavowed is available until March 11.

Limited-Time Modes and Hardpoint Becomes Permanent

For a limited time, some modes return for players at the start of Call of Duty Mobile Season 4 Disavowed. For some reason, these two popular modes are only back for the first 24 hours the season is out.

Warfare is the first of these two returning game modes, offering players a very different battle royale experience. Instead of the traditional squads, players are split between two main teams with 20 players on each to see who can get the most kills.

The other returning mode is One Shot One Kill, the fan-favorite game mode where a single shot is enough to take anyone out. Both modes will be live in the new season for the first day, which isn’t a very long time, especially for a normal week and not weekend.

On the bright side, though, Activision is listening to feedback and the first result of this is happening. Players were upset about Hardpoint only available for a limited time. Because of feedback and participation from players, this is changing.

Starting in Season 4, Hardpoint becomes permanent to the online multiplayer suite in traditional multiplayer and the ranked modes. However, if you want to play it ranked, you need to rise to the elite rank first.

Zombies Mode and Credit Store Update

Yet again, that isn’t for all game modes and this next piece of news isn’t the happiest one around. We always knew the Zombies mode would only stick around for a limited time. It leaves the game on March 25 due to lack of quality.

It may return in the future once some changes get implemented. But, for now, players should try to enjoy it while they still can. In the meantime, players can also check out the in-game store for the latest items.

Besides getting items in the battle pass, players can also purchase some new items directly from the store. New additions this week are the MQ-27 Dragonfire scorestreak, in case you couldn’t unlock it previously for free, and the Ukiyo-e HS0405 shotgun.

You can also get the Metal Note skin for the AK-47. If you’re feeling lucky, you can grab the St. Patrick’s Day skins for both AK117 and the MSMC SMG.

Upcoming Events in Call of Duty Mobile Season 4

Lastly, Activision concluded the Season 4 update by noting events and game modes coming to the game for a limited time for the next few weeks. This also confirms the end date of some of the currently existing events like Prop Hunt.

The unbelievably popular Prop Hunt mode leaves the game on March 5. Until March 12, as previously mentioned, players can complete the Hive Operator skill challenge for free.

To celebrate the launch of the new season and Cage map, a new Cage challenge will happen until March 12. From now until March 8, players who prefer battle royale will see the return of the classic battle royale snipers-only challenge.
